As befits its Italian name ‘Mozzafiato’, which loosely translates to ‘breathtaking’, this gorgeous 3-bedroom holiday retreat located in a quiet private residence and is recommended for families or mature groups. It makes the most of its elevated location on the Menaggio hills and boasts superior lake views from its sunny, spacious private terrace.

Inside, the modern 1st floor retreat boasts a functional, well-equipped and recently renovated layout; perfect for relaxation and entertaining. In the main large living area, guests can kick back and relax within the generous open plan lake view incorporating a roomy Living room, Dining area, Reading area in front of a new pellet fire place and a brand new Kitchen.

Guests can enjoy unwinding on the sumptuous sofa, which is accompanied by a 65” flat screen smart TV (internet able for Netflix etc.) and a Blue-Ray DVD player. The apartment also includes two CD stereo and iPod speakers and free in-house WiFi.

A dedicated reading/Study area also features next to the Living room and includes a recently added pellet fireplace.

Within the open plan Living room, the accompanying dining area also enjoys lake views and provides a wonderful setting for serving up year-round family feasts. French and sliding doors enable groups to spill out onto the breath-taking panoramic lake view terrace, which features a charming alfresco dining set and is easily the ‘wow-factor’ feature of this apartment. The spectacular vista stretches out across the Central Lake and encompasses Menaggio centre and the picturesque resort town of Varenna, which is nestled along the unspoilt eastern shore.

Those looking to savour an easy-going self-catering stay will appreciate the recently high quality renovated open plan Kitchen equipped with a microwave, oven, cooker hob, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster, two wine fridges and a fridge freezer.

The sleeping accommodation offers welcome versatility for groups and families. A light and airy lake view master double bedroom with Juliette balcony and newly-fitted en-suite shower features alongside a second roomy double bedroom and a child-friendly third bedroom to the rear of the holiday home, which is furnished with a bunk bed and two study desks. The third bedroom also leads outside to a communal rear lawn.

Accompanying the bedrooms is a second newly fitted family bathroom suite with bath tub, overhead shower, wash basin, WC and washer dryer. There is also an additional guest toilet adjoining the Living room.

Outside, the spacious sunny panoramic lake view terrace is furnished with a set of sun loungers.

From the residence, central Menaggio and its lakeshore is within a 4 minutes’ walk away, via a series of pedestrianised paths reached by crossing 2 roads; it is also a 4 minute walk to the car/passenger ferry.

Lamentamos su experiencia negativa, definitivamente no es lo que queremos para nuestros huéspedes. Seguramente podríamos haber aclarado algunos detalles antes de su estancia. Si nos hubiera informado de que había personas mayores en el grupo, le habríamos hecho saber que la casa no tiene ascensor. También el aparcamiento es un tamaño estándar, podríamos haber pedido un espacio más grande. La conexión Wifi y la suciedad del entorno lamentablemente sólo podemos influir de forma limitada, ya que en general no hay buena conexión en la zona. Sin embargo, trabajaremos en este problema para encontrar una solución. Espero que nos den la oportunidad de volver a recibirles como huéspedes en otra ocasión. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
