It is believed a holy statue situated in an underground cavern has special healing qualities.
High lights of the Feast celebrations start from the 30th August till the 9th September with colorful fireworks lighting up on ground and sky.
Natural Reserve: has declared a bird sanctuary in 1978, situated in the bay.

Popeye's Village: Was a film set in 1980 and organizes daily shows, slides, trampolines and a Lido.
Mellieha is a large village in the North-western part of Malta and acquired the name from the Semitic which means salt. Some believe it meant honey, from the color of the stone. It has been inhabited since early Neolithic times (3000 B.C). Several megalithic remains and tombs of this era and other primitive tools and pottery were found in various localities round the village.
IN the Roman and Byzantine occupation in 213 B.C, Mellieha became inhabited by troglodytes who dwelled in caves
During the medieval 870 – 1530 A.D. the valley got deserted due to continuous raids of the Corsairs.
St. Agatha's Tower: Known as the Red Tower, 1647, was used for communication with the island of Gozo & housed cannons
White Tower Bay: is enclosed by a fortification wall that was built by the knights in 1658.
During the 17th Century the Knights build several fortifications to protect the inhabitants

“A perfect view in a beautiful location”
It is always difficult, when a host is friendly and so very helpful, to write anything other than a perfect, glowing report. For this reason, I was a bit dubious about the objective nature of the previous reviews considering the comments regarding Yvonne. Well let me tell you, yes Yvonne is friendly and very helpful but this is not the only reason for all the positive reviews. This penthouse apartment is as near to perfect as you could possibly expect. Well located, lovely view, quiet, well equipped, secure and safe. The balcony is a major feature with a fantastic view over Mellieha bay, where you can watch the boats coming in and out and soak up the sun or chill out with a glass of local wine. Large patio doors ensure the apartment stays cool although there are 3 modern and effective ac units in the living area and bedrooms. What was especially nice was sitting in the early evening listening to the sea lapping away at the rocks below. Very calming. Within the apartment is a large sofa in a position ideal for taking in the view from indoors, a large 50” TV with some English channels and a number of external inputs including USB slot with a built in player if you wish to bring along a memory stick with preloaded films, etc.. A large dining table and a well equipped kitchen with touchscreen cooker, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and all the usual crockery and cutlery. A very nice addition is a water cooler that dispenses refreshing and clean drinking water. There are 2 bedrooms, both with aircon and comfortable beds. The mattresses are both memory foam and very firm, giving a great nights sleep. Throughout the apartment are ample 3 pin UK sockets. All in all, a fantastic well equipped apartment in a great location, allowing beautiful views of the bay and hosted by the incredibly helpful and friendly Yvonne.

A beautiful apartment with a great service from Yvonne and her team. We feeled very welcome and our questions and requests were answered quickly. We had a great time despite the rainy days but it’s February so it was in the cards. :)

On arrival we were picked up immediately from the airport and transfers was already done for departure. Yvonne was waiting for us on arrival to our gorgeous stunningly penthouse and made our arrival welcoming. The views from our penthouse was far even more stunning than the pictures. Everything was just what you can see on trip advisor. Will definitely be returning back.

“Got engaged on the balcony!”
The property is absolutely stunning. The pictures are exactly what you can expect. Yvonne welcomed us with directions over the phone, the keys & a tour of the property on arrival. She had also got us some wine, breakfast items & bottled water. There was a lift to take you to the top floor so don't worry about carrying suitcases up stairs. We took full advantage of the kitchen and cooked most evenings with the equipment provided. The neighborhood is quiet so you can expect a decent sleep. The property would be perfect for a family of 4 as the second bedroom had 2 single beds. It is located at the bottom of the hill leading up to Mellieha. Here, there are all the usual tourist shops, market places, bars & restaurants (be aware, this is a big hill). Along the seafront there are also a few excellent restaurants. I would definitely recommend a SMALL hire car (Europcar was fine). Carparking is directly at the front of the property & is free. There are plenty of activities locally but with a car you can get there (up many hills) with a lot more ease. The view at night was stunning with many stars visible on the balcony where my significant other felt it was beautiful enough to ask me to marry him. This is easily the nicest property we have stayed in abroad. It was a pure delight.

“Great flat with wonderful sea views”
Yvonne could not have been more helpful, before, during and after our holiday. She even booked our hire car and provided foodstuffs for our first day as well as a very welcome bowl of fruit. The location is first rate, the flat is extremely comfortable and well-equipped, right by the sea and in a quiet part of town yet with walking distance of local shops and restaurants. We had a lovely time.

“We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Malta”
We love everything about this apartment. We have just booked our third visit for next spring. The balcony is sunny for most of the day as it is a penthouse it has no roof above. We never tire of watching all the boats below. It is clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly want and if it isn't there then Yvonne is quick to supply it. There are a lot of nice restaurants within walking distance and apart from breakfast we go out for most meals. The beach is within walking distance but you can swim off the rocks and slipway opposite the apartment. The beach is very safe for small children as the water stays shallow for a long way. The best holiday destination we have ever stayed in Europe.
