The property is located in a beautiful quiet and secluded spot in the beautiful Dordogne countryside in the Perigord Vert region., just outside the old town of Mareuil and its 16th century chateau. The town is a short 5 minute drive away, where you'll find a local market on Tuesdays, supermarkets, banks, hairdressers, boulangeries, tabac and local restaurant and pizza shop. Ideally situated for visiting the many local places of interest, including the beautiful riverside town of Brantome.

The spacious bedrooms within this tastefully renovated old railway building, are accessed via the front door of the property and are self contained behind double doors at the end of the entry hall. The guest suite comprises:

Large 14m2 double bedroom with King size bed and individual mattresses.

Large 12m2 second bedroom with two individual single beds

Brand new refurbished bathroom and suite installed March 2018 with shower, bath, illuminated mirror and heated towel rail.

Separate toilet

Free wifi, tea/coffee making facilities

Located in beautiful rolling countryside in rural Dordogne, on a quiet road with next to no traffic or noise, its secluded and tranquil location offers a unique opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life, allowing you to relax and de-stress whilst enjoying the sanctuary of true peace and quiet. Enjoy expansive countryside views by day, spectacular sunsets in the evening, and beautiful clear star lit skies by night, unspoilt by light pollution, this really is a beautiful spot!

Great opportunities for walking, enjoying rides on quiet country roads if you're a cyclist; picturesque riding roads if you're a motorcyclist; and great scenery for painters. Locally there are local markets, chateaux, a windmill, beautiful French villages, lots of interesting places to visit nearby, and local amenities only 5 minutes away.

This is THE place to come to chill, relax, and enjoy peace and quiet.

Motorcyclists can utilise safe overnight parking in the internal garage.
