Villa Fulgida, a magnificent 19th-century estate available for luxury holiday rental on the western shores of Upper Lake Como, stands as a timeless symbol of Italian style and excellence. This haven radiates romance, absolute peace, and tranquility, making it an ideal retreat for discerning travelers.
The villa's interiors are a showcase of singular beauty, featuring mosaic floors, turned wood staircases, 18th-century frescoes, and exquisite paintings from the late 1800s. Steeped in history, Villa Camilla has retained its charm and allure over the years.
The surrounding park, originally designed as an English garden in the mid-19th century, offers a stroll through time among age-old trees of great beauty. Unlike many gardens on Lake Como, Villa Camilla's park was conceived as an English garden from its inception, alongside only Villa Melzi at Bellagio. Here, guests can marvel at botanical wonders such as Acers, cork oaks, redwood pines, Chilean monkey-puzzle trees, cedars, and Japanese bamboo.
Nestled within this lush green expanse is a small vegetable garden, supplying organic fruit and vegetables for the chef's culinary creations. Guests have the unique opportunity to personally select ingredients for their meals, enhancing the immersive experience. A truly ancient stone cellar at the back of the villa houses an extensive collection of local, Italian, and international wines.
Restoration and refurbishment of the villa have been conducted with a commitment to sustainable architecture, incorporating principles of Feng-shui with guidance from respected professionals.
For leisure, the villa boasts a modern pool area with ample space for sunbathing, comfortable loungers, tables, chairs, umbrellas, and a hot water shower. Sports enthusiasts can indulge in a tennis court with evening lighting, along with a well-equipped games room featuring table tennis, table football, and a pool table.
Upon arrival, guests are treated to a welcome dinner prepared by the chef, who remains at their service throughout their stay. Rich breakfasts and exquisite recipes from traditional Italian and international cuisine are on the menu, with ingredients sourced from the villa's organic gardens or local producers.
Guest relations are available throughout the stay, offering personalized one-of-a-kind experiences curated by the in-house concierge. Just a stone's throw away, a large car park and private jetty with a buoy await, accommodating motorboats.
