A spacious, traditional country farm house full of character, Les Galineaux sleeps 10 in 5 spacious bedrooms. Open plan and airy it is cool in the heat of the summer. Our holiday home is a home, and not a holiday let house with minimal fittings and basic comfort. The bedrooms are truly spacious with super king or king size beds, or singles in the twin room, luxury linen and bath towels are all included.

The living areas are furnished with taste combining antique French furniture with restored and modern pieces.

The kitchen is well kitted out for enthusiastic cooks and again does not just include the bassics.

Les Galineaux has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The location is perfect for a busy or a restful break - it's up to you!

Set in a peaceful hamlet in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region, the house is ideally located among the vines and sunflowers that stretch for miles around, for loads of great activities, including first class golf courses, water sports- canoe, kayak, paddle board, waterskiing - horse riding, tennis, historic sites, caves, chateaux and of course discovering some of the world's finest wines..... Do please read the reviews "French Country House". But here are a few: our past guest say it all.

"Great location with fields, vineyards and woods close by. Central location within easy reach of all the major markets and night time markets and a good supermarket some 5 minutes away. This is in a quiet location enabling oneself to totally unwind with a nice pool to cool down in. I would totally recommend the local chateau on the right towards the supermarket down a bumpy chalk drive. They do a cracking red for 5 and a better one for 12 euros." KM 2017

The Farmhouse was packed full of rustic charm and very tastefully furnished. I felt there was a balance between maintaining original features while having a few modern luxuries such as a good shower and Smeg fridge! It was so peaceful, clean and well equipped. Having the bikes was a real bonus as we could get out and about. Great bargains to be had at the local markets and not too far from Bordeaux, where we spent a lovely day sightseeing before arriving at the house. Highly recommended. AB 2017

Why can't I call LesGalineaux (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send LesGalineaux (the owner) a message.

If LesGalineaux (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
