Description

Hilltop self- catering cottage is based on a working farm two miles from the beautiful town of Killeshandra and 12 miles from Cavan town. It is a clean, cosy and welcoming base for anyone wanting to fish on the many local lakes, tour the sights or to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding view. Well behaved pets are allowed but must be supervised at all times as the cottage is based on a working farm. Bed linen and towels provided and heat and electricity is inclusive in the price.

Lovely, peaceful setting where you just want to switch off and go back to basics. Anne is a very friendly lady who is willing to help. The cottage is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Would accommodate 5 easily, although the glassware would not be sufficient for that number. If you just want to relax and do nothing, this is the place to be.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Ann was a lovely host and the welcome basket was very appreciated. The cottage is bigger than you would expect! Only 5 minutes to Killashandra town and 20 to Cavan by car. There are lots of leaflets in the sitting room so you are well informed on what to do throughout your stay. The only reason I marked it down a star was because we encountered quite a few big spiders. There was one as big as an egg and it was quite scary for us! If you're used to living in the country it probably won't bother you but it gave us a bit of a shock. If you don't like spiders this probably isn't the best place for you. Otherwise, our stay was very pleasant and cheap as all your heat, fuel and water is included in the price. I was expecting some sort of compromise for being that cheap but I really can't fault it. Lovely views of the country too. Thank you Ann and John for a wonderful stay.

“Perfect cottage stay”

2 adults and 5 kids and the cottage still felt roomy. Ann was a great host, very friendly and welcoming and there was even a lovely welcome basket for us all. The cottage was spotless and had all we needed for the week. We weren’t rushed to leave either. This cottage is a must for anyone and the price was amazing value. We would happily stay again and tell family and friends.

Why can't I call Ann (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ann (the owner) a message.

If Ann (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
