The property
Riverside8On12 is a quiet hideaway 5 Km from the historic city of Kandy on the bank of the Mahaweli River at Lewella in Sri Lanka. You wake up to the sound of birds and chipmunks, and cool down in the evening on the balconies overlooking the river, watching formations of cormorants and egrets heading off to their nesting places while fireflies light up the 'kahata' tree in the foreground.
We have three air-conditioned double rooms with their own bathrooms with hot showers.

Riverside8On12 is 120km from the Capital Colombo and 100 km from the International Airport. The drive from Colombo takes approximately 3 hours. Kandy town is the transport hub for the Central Province and the Cultural Triangle. Frequent bus services and not-so-frequent train services connect Kandy to the rest of Sri Lanka.

For the return trip, The Lewella buses (routes 646 & 655) start from the Torrington bus stand near the Kandy market.
