From the moment we booked and made the first contact Liz Maclaughlin has been very helpful and welcoming. We were given exact perfect directions. Place was kept clean, creative and homely. Fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The views and setting are fantastic and we were surrounded by nature! Many exotic birds, frogs, squirrels and a wonderful garden. Prashan and the team offer excellent service and top notch local cuisine using ingredients from the garden. Also a great pool. Good value accommodation in Kandy

We spent three days at Gladmanit homestay. The place was chosen for being out of the centre on Kandy (which is noisy and polluted at all times) but not very far from it (5 minutes of tuk-tuk). The owner arranged convenient transportation from the Colombo airport. The property has plenty of space and it is fitted with all equipment for a comfortable stay. Beds were clean and comfortable (although of small size). The owner (Mahen) has been very helpful and kind. On the minus side some furniture in the kitchen is really worn out and in general a more thorough cleaning would help. … see more

City centre is 15 minutes walk - Perfect to see Temple of Tooth and Perehera

We had a great time there as Pushpa the housekeeper could cook authentic Sri Lankan food. The Suisse hotel is nearby so you can have a swim in their pool, book a massage or have evening dinner complete with drinks and you have not far to walk back - less than two minutes. We enjoyed walking around the lake and seeing the Kandy Perehera, the market and the Temple of the Tooth. As a photographer and nature lover, I loved watching the birds in the morning and was always out with my camera seeing Kingfishers, Cormorants, monkeys tortoises near the lake which was about a minutes walk. The monkeys were entertaining to watch seeing father, mother and baby monkeys go up and down the telephone wire near the house. … see more
