Beautiful luxurious villa only a few minutes from Gordes, one of the prettiest villages in Provence, with views on to the Petit Luberon and the surrounding vineyards. This 4 double bedroom house, built in the traditional dry stone of the region and newly renovated has 250m² of living space and outbuildings as well as a 10x4m heated pool and 12,000m² garden including a large boccia court underneath an evening lit old old oak tree with seating all around for fun evenings. 4000 m²are fenced, so that your dog can enjoy the surrounding in a comfortable and safe way.
Villa Joucas has beautiful Provençal ceilings and exposed beams, combined with everything you would expect in contemporary living – double glazing and modern light fittings to name but a few. The massive historic walls and the elevation (400m above sea level) guarantee an agreeable indoor climate year round: cool during summer and comfortably warm during the pre- and after season. For added comfort during extrem high or low temperatures there is an aircondioning system in every room which can be reversed to heating as needed.
Kitchen, dining room and lounge are semi-open plan. The large kitchen is modern and well-equipped even with a steamer, dishwasher, microwave/convection and second convection oven, gas hob and 2 American-style fridges and a freezer. The dining room table comfortably seats 8. The lounge with large closed-in fireplace is comfortably furnished and has TV with satellite reception, DVD and sound system. The house phone can be found here with free calls to land lines in 90 countries (including US, NZ etc.). Several double doors open up onto the outside terrace and garden. There is a Sonos sound system throughout the house.
The first bedroom with en-suite bathroom is accessed from the hallway. From the living area a few steps down lead to bedrooms two and three, both with their own generously sized bathroom facilities – one of them has a double bathtub as well as a shower. These two bedrooms have a beautiful view of - and direct access to - the pool area. Stairs from the living area lead up to the fourth bedroom with en-suite facilities. On this level you will also find a mezzanine office space/lounge, with a large comfortable sofa.
EXTERIOR
Outside you'll find a shaded terrace with tables seating 8 people where you can have lunch, dinner or a relaxing siesta. The terrace has beautiful panoramic views of the pool area and the surrounding countryside, and can be directly accessed from the kitchen as well as the living room. The sun terrace is equipped with custom made upholstery for comfortable hours enjoying the incredible view.
The large 10 x 4 swimming pool (which can be heated in mid season months) is situated in a large one hectare park-style garden with old pine trees and lavender patches and a small olive orchard. The numerous trees provide plenty of shady corners and there are ample sun-beds and lounging chairs, and an XL modern sun umbrella for those who prefer the shade. There is an extensive parking/boules/badminton area in front of the house and a ping-pong table is available too.
The grounds offer ample parking space. Entrance to the domain is through an automatic remote controlled iron gate.

60 minutes from Marseille–Marignane airport, 30 minutes from Avignon, 1 hour from the sea and 45 minutes from Aix-en-Provence. You'll find a 18-hole golf course near Saumane, at 18 km.
Situated in a rural location in the commune of Joucas only minutes from famous Gordes, positioned in one of the most prestigious parts of the country. The area has a wide range of activities for all age groups.
The property is not suitable for lowered sports cars.
