Spacious 2-room suite in a small, log home B&B at 4200+ft elevation, with panoramic cascading mountain views. Ideal for 2 guests, it does have a futon in the second room, so can sleep a third person. Newly remodeled bathroom and sitting room. Nights can be cool even in the summer, so bring a jacket and at least 1 pair of long pants. There is a long range mountain view out of every window! Located at the edge of Linville Gorge, 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, between the exits for Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls. You can watch sunrise and sunset from the property. You can see Mt Mitchell, the Linville Gorge, Hickory, Lenoir and Sugar Mountain. We are away from the hustle-bustle of the High Country, where you can truly get some stress free relaxation. Wake up to the aromas of a delicious breakfast prepared by a professional chef. We use local farm-fresh eggs (whenever available), ham, bacon or sausage, potatoes or grits, home baked biscuits or toast, jam and real butter, orange juice, fresh coffee with real cream, and always end with a "dessert". This can be fluffy banana/blueberry/pumpkin pancakes, French Toast with fruits, or something else! We serve real maple syrup. Vaulted ceilings in main bedroom which has a custom made king size log bed. This suite has a small fridge & microwave. The Bed and Breakfast offers Wi-Fi and satellite TV. There are 5-6 restaurants within 6 miles, more a little further out. Excellent location to reconnect with mother nature. This area is a nature lover's paradise, and is located at the edge of the High Country. Endless hiking trails of all levels are all around us as we border the National Forest. In winter enjoy snow skiing, boarding, tubing, ice skating and ziplining. Horseback trail riding available in several locations. In summer enjoy canoeing, kayaking, zip-lining, white water rafting, fly fishing, trout fishing, and more in the area. Wine tasting available in 5 local wineries located from 7 miles to 15 miles away. Several breweries in the area. The fall season is a beautiful time to visit this area. The fall foliage is amazing with vibrant colors all around us during the month of October and into November. Sit and relax around the fire pit with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view, or make a fire and roast marshmallows. We are located close to Table Rock, Hawksbill, Linville Falls, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Boone, Blowing Rock, Spruce Pine, Lake James and Price Lake, an hour from Asheville, NC, and Johnson City, TN.     How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    If Albrich (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
