Interaction with guests
After spending their honeymoon in Hopkins in 2015, Gary and Becky fell in love with this peaceful village located on the Caribbean Sea! March 15th of 2017 found Gary and Becky Oden the new owners of the All Seasons Guest House. Hailing from Indiana they have started a new chapter in their lives. Gary a retired banker and Becky leaving her position as a registered nurse drove to their new home. They elected to completely remodel the Guesthouse and Cabanas from top to bottom. They are a very friendly couple and look forward to serving their guests for many years to come!
The neighborhood
Our neighborhood is a Garifuna fishing village, rich in Culture . Most of our people are Garifuna (Black) and Mestizos (Spanish/Maya. These friendly people are very proud and love to share their heritage with visitors! In the evening be sure to try the local flavors at many of the restaurants. Drumming and dance is also featured in a few of the restaurants in the evening!
Getting around
From Belize city International Airport there are multiple ways to get to Hopkins and it will depend "On what you looking to do"?. The first way and the fastest one, is to fly from the international airport with a cost of around $80 US per person to Dangriga, the closest place to Hopkins, then take a 30 minute cab ride to Hopkins which will cost around $40 US.
The next option is through a Transfer vehicle from the International airport to Hopkins. You can find these services by scouring the internet. The price is around $125 US per person. You will enjoy a 3 hour ride thru Belize with the last 75 minutes thru our beautiful mountains!
The next option is through public transportation. If you take this option it will be a total of 4 1/2 hours approximately, but by far the most reasonably priced! You'll have to take the taxi from the international airport to The bus station in Belize City and wait for the bus going to Dangriga or Punta Gorda (P.G.) both of these buses stop in Dangriga and from Dangriga take the bus to Hopkins or take a cab/taxi to Hopkins. If you decide to take the bus to Hopkins, make sure to be on time because there's only one bus in the morning at 11:00 a.m. and only one in the afternoon at 5:00 p.m..
The cost of this trip from International airport through to Hopkins would be around $15 IS to $20 US.
The best option (we believe) would be to rent a car! This enables you to move about as you please! Within 25-55 minutes of our Guesthouse you will find waterfalls, zip lines, National Parks, snorkeling, fishing, diving, Mayan ruins and so much more!
Once here you will find restaurants and gift shops all within walking distance. There are also motorbike and golf cart rentals to get you around! We are sure that if you are looking for a place to relax, you will find this your home away from home!
