Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Location, location, location” The Coconut Cottage is the perfect example of a beach cottage!! No frills, just basics! Steps from the water, or, the other direction to town. Kay is a wonderful and helpful host. You cannot beat the location at a great price!!
“A few days of paradise” Fantastic house with numerous places to sit inside and places outside on the beach. The house next door was empty so we ended up with a private beach and our own jetty and it was very peaceful. It helped that we had great weather. There is a great restaurant nearby, the Maya Hotel, and the food is excellent. But we had a great kitchen, outside table to eat and an iPod player so it was also good to stay in. Would recommend staying here.
“UnBelizeable Paradise Lodging in Belize” What's not to like about the Maya Beach Hotel and the Dreamsicle House? Six steps down to the sand from the deck and 26 more to the sea!! Daily maid service by Merle and Maggie was great - they, as well as the rest of the Maya Beach staff treated us like long lost friends come home again . The pool adjacent to the house is private - though we manatees had some difficulties hoisting ourselves out - older folks should have a ladder installed for them. The house had fans, which along with the sea breezes, were definitely enough to be comfortable - we never even used the air conditioning.
As for the Bistro restaurant - words cannot describe the fusion of flavours , the presentation and the extraordinary tastes created in that kitchen! Seafood - fresh daily and fruits so fresh -- the juices spilled down our chins! We ate an entire Peanut Brittle Ice Cream Cake - the other desserts were to die for - I sampled the world's best Key Lime pie and Banana Cream Pie - who knew that freshly picked bananas tasted so wonderful!
I cannot say enough about our visit - to Ellen, John, Kim and Marlon and all the Bistro Boys --- kudos to you - we are definitely going back!
“A perfict vacation!” It was entirely our pleasure to stay at the Maya Beach Hotel Vacation Rental "Aqua Villa" with Ellen and John and their fine staff. It was also our pleasure to sample many of John's culinary creations. We kept saying over and over on the way home what a perfect vacation we had and it all started with the Maya Beach Hotel, Ellen, the guides and trips she selected, the suggestions she had, the wonderful aqua Villa Beach House, and the food at the Bistro which was simply wonderful!!!
We all hope to come back and sooner rather than later.
