It has a furnished covered terrace for alfresco dining which leads to an elegant and tastefully decorated living and dining area. A luxury kitchen, equipped with crockery and cutlery for fine dining. The Barbados region

The climate in Barbados is considered to be sub-tropical and temperatures for most of the year typically range between 80-86 degrees Fahrenheit (27-30 degrees Celsius).

The beaches on the west coast of Barbados are known for calm, clear water and excellent swimming and snorkelling. The west coast gently nudges the tranquil Caribbean Sea in all its turquoise glory, with soft white sandy beaches.

This coast is perfect and is known as the platinum coast. Famous for its tranquil clear waters, the west coast of Barbados is ideal for water sports; from cruising on a catamaran to jet skiing; water sports operators are never difficult to find. Many of the popular scuba diving areas are located here as well.

In addition there is horse riding, tennis, numerous top class golf courses, Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane being the most popular, favoured by the rich and famous all close by. Eating out is a must with so many excellent restaurants to choose from. The Lone Star and Tides restaurants are among these. However, if you want something tasty but simple then Just Grilling is a must or if you want real authenticate Bajan food, stop at one of the local vans parked on the roadside and sample good home cooking.

Holetown is also home to the new luxurious shopping centre, Limegrove. Here you will find some of the worlds most leading brands in clothes, shoes, jewellery and watches amongst other things. There are also restaurants surrounded by water features and wonderful snack eateries.

This stretch of paradise generally offers the type of anonymity celebrities are hard-pressed to find elsewhere and therefore, Barbados has become a popular escape for some very well known names. It is the location for many of the most exclusive hotels on the island; you will find plenty of bars and restaurants along the beach. Although many of the west coast beaches are hidden from the road by beachfront properties and hotels, don't be discouraged, there are numerous public right of ways so find a path to the sand and enjoy the beautiful beaches!

A car is not essential as there is a very reliable bus service from the end of the road which will take you to the capital of Barbados Bridgetown. Taxis are also readily available. However, the convenience of a car means that you can explore the island at your leisure and there are some fantastic sights to see and many beautiful beaches just waiting to be explored.

Holetown

The population is roughly 270,000 and the capital city is Bridgetown located on the southwest coast. Here you will find plenty to do from shopping, sightseeing, horse racing to historic churches and museums.

Barbados is a very safe island for tourists with crime rates being the lowest in the Caribbean region; however you still need to exercise the same caution as you would at home by not leaving valuables on display and not walking around unlit roads at night.

The Island is blessed with a wonderful combination of weather attributes, bright sunshine and cooling breezes virtually all year round. The moderately high daytime temperatures are balanced by refreshing, cooler nights thanks to the trade winds coming in off the Atlantic.

The rainy season in Barbados is from June to November. The good news is that Barbados usually escapes the wrath of the severe tropical storms and hurricanes which come through the Eastern Caribbean. Rather, due to the island's unique easterly location, major weather systems tend to move above or below Barbados. The water in Barbados is safe to drink as it is filtered naturally through the coral limestone rock.

Swimming in Barbados is safe on the west and south coasts as it surrounded by the Caribbean Sea, but you need to exercise caution as you venture up the south east to east and north coasts, as this side is the Atlantic Ocean which is much rougher. Water sports such as Kite boarding, wind surfing and surfing are popular in Barbados as the waves on the south coast are excellent for wind and kite surfing.

“Home from home features at a fabulous resort.”

Reviewed 13 Apr 2015

Beija Flora is a well-situated property within easy walking distance to a beach entrance. It enjoys a quiet and secure location away from the centre of Holetown. The owners have thought of everything a holidaymaker would need on vacation and have equipped the accomodation accordingly. This made for a very comfortable and relaxing family holiday.

Thank you Martyn. Thanks for choosing Beija Flor. I hope you will stay with us again. Best regards Sharon

“Perfect haven for a fabulous holiday”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2014

My Wife and I and our dear friends stayed at Beija Flor for our first Bajan holiday. The house is wonderfully relaxing, in a near perfect location, is fully equipped to satisfy your every need and the pool is a joy to be in. A short stroll to the beach, bars and restaurants whilst being away from the road. Dealing with Sharon and her local agent could not have been more pleasant. We wish we could have stayed longer and will certainly rent again if we ever return to Barbados. Julie, Paul, Deb and Phil, Worcestershire, England

Thank you kindly. Much appreciated. Sharon

“Convenient luxury”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2014

Beija Flor is everything you would want for a relaxing holiday. Located close to all amenities in Holetown the house is luxurious and welcoming and is not the usual holiday let being tastefully furnished and well maintained. There is little to criticise in this house which is located In a gated community which adds to the sense of security. .

Thank you kindly

“Fantastic Villa”

Reviewed 25 May 2012

Just returned from 2 weeks at villa Beija Flor and found it excellent. All the rooms were lovely and extremely spacious. The pool and garden were great and we loved watching the beautiful humming birds. Had a few BBQs but had to time them well to avoid the sudden downpours! The villa had everything you could possibly need & more with iPod docks and hair dryers in every room & the kitchen was very well equipped. Juliet the property manager was fantastic and couldn't do enough to help us. We enjoyed exploring the local area and Heron Bay was just a short walk away along with a few local bars. We walked into town a few times and also got the local 'Boogie Buses' from the end of the road (sometimes a hair raising experience!). The only difficulty we found was that to get to the main road you had to walk down a fairly busy road with no footpath which could be a bit tricky, especially at night, but taxis are easy to get if you don't want to walk. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa.

Thank you kindly. Much appreciated.

“Fantastic House”

Reviewed 9 Mar 2012

Just returned from staying at the Beiga Flor and could not fault it in any way. Everything was perfect from the location to the decor and amenities. The pool was a good size and sun loungers and beach towels were provided. We went as 3 couples and each bedroom had an en-suite which was great. The twice weekly maid service was exceptional and the pool was also cleaned twice while we were there. We spent many evenings sat on the lovely patio watching the fireflies. This house is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a two week holiday and we would definately return.

Thank kindly. Much appreciated.
