The house is ideally located 400 to 500m from the sea and city centre in a calm area with almost no traffic. Surrounded by 1800m2 of garden, it is very well exposed (sunny ... if it is sunny!), protected from the costal winds and well suited for families with kids of all ages. The interior and exterior are old French cottage style, but offer all you need on a decent surface (±100m2) for a relaxing stay in this calm and charming family resort.

The house itself is divided into two wings, one with the 3 bedrooms and the bathroom and the other with the living room and the kitchen. The 3 bedrooms are each about 10-15m2 in size and have a large window towards the west. Two of them also have a washbasin, the other one is right beside the bathroom. Toilets are separate. The beds are also old French style (so 1,90m in length..), except one new one, but are comfortable and the mattresses are in a good shape.

The living room is oriented north / south, has 5 windows and is about 30m2 in size. It has a large table in it to dine comfortably with up to 12 people. There are also two arm chairs and a chimney, which can however not be used. There is no sofa and no TV, but a stereo where you can connect your own devices (Ipod, etc.). The kitchen is relatively small (9m2), oriented east / south but nice and bright and has everything in it that is needed for your holiday cooking sessions.

Beside the kitchen, towards the backyard (north) there is a storage room, with all sorts of household and beach equipment (shovels, etc.), including the bicycles (3 adult, 2 child (3-6 years) and a trailer that can be used by everyone.

The garden is all around the house, well enclosed and gives the children enough room to play, run and discover safely or simply relax on the swing. There are enough garden tables, chairs and armchairs for outside to invite a few friends over. There also is a simple BBQ and enough firewood available. The car can be parked within the property and close to the house.

Hardelot has wonderful, very large (at high tide) beaches with fine white sand, no crowds, many dunes and forests to explore, walk, run or cycle around. You can take advantage of the summer programme organized by the city of Hardelot for children and adults with all sorts of cultural activities and events or you can visit the "chateau d´Hardelot", an old manor house “British Style” about 10 cycle minutes away. Of course you also walk the 5 minutes to the beach to do all sorts of water sports activities (there is a sailing club as well). For those looking for a golf course, Hardelot has two: the “Dunes” and the “Pines”, that you can explore.

All though rather small, the “city centre” offers all sorts of shops from bakeries, butchers, fish shops, an organic store and a small supermarket to cloth stores, equipment rentals and a small cinema. So there is no need to touch your car during your holidays… everything can be done on foot or by bike, 5 minutes from the house.

The climate in Hardelot is influenced by the sea, so do expect some wind. In July / August it tends to be mild, around 20°C on average. Don’t expect 35°C and sunshine all day, but be aware of getting sunburned nevertheless.

La maison est idéalement située à 400 - 500m de la plage et du centre d´Hardelot dans un cartier très calme. Elle est entourée de 1800m2 de jardin et bien exposée, à l’abri de forts ventes de la côte mais avec du soleil toute la journée. Un endroit parfait pour 1 ou 2 familles avec enfants de tout âge. L´intérieur et l´extérieur de la maison ont un style « vieille France », mais offre tout ce qu´il faut sur environ 100m2 pour des vacances tranquilles et relax en bord de mer à Hardelot.

La superficie de la maison est de 100 M2 environ et l'intérieur de la maison est de style cottage français. Elle se divise en deux parties et elle est de plein pied. D'un côté se trouvent la salle de bain et les 3 chambres équipées pour deux d'entre elles d'un lavabo. Dans l'autre partie se trouvent le salon / salle à manger, la cuisine et une pièce annexe de rangement.

Les 3 chambres mesurent entre 10 et 15 M2 et bénéficient de larges fenêtres vers l´ouest. Les lits sont de style français et, confortables. Le salon / salle à manger mesure 30m2 environ est orienté nord/sud et bénéficie de 5 fenêtres. La cuisine est petite (± 9m2), mais très claire et bien équipée (lave vaisselle, petit four électrique, 4 plaques électriques, une machine à laver). Elle donne sur le jardin.

Dans le jardin, il y un bac à sable, un petit espace barbecue, des chaises et tables de jardin et une balançoire. La voiture peut être garée au sein de la propriété.

Les voyageurs ont accès à toute la maison, sauf les combles. Nous mettons aussi à disposition 4 vélos d'adultes et 2 vélos d'enfants ainsi qu'une carriole.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
