This rental is in a quiet village but convenient to Arras, the Vimy Ridge memorial and other WW1 sites. The owners live right next door and were helpful in answering our questions about shopping,etc. A car is absolutely necessary as there are no shops or restaurants nearby, apart from a nice bakery.

Perfect family holiday
Our family visited arras for my mum and her twin sister's 80th birthday with the aim of visiting the war grave of their uncle killed in battle 99 years ago - it would be the first time they had seen his grave.
We stayed at the histoire de maison which was perfectly located in arras, being a short walk from the train station and to the picturesque town centre.
The owners of the place, Gerald and his wife, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful in settling us in to the guesthouse, giving useful information about the local area and amenities. They went above and beyond helping us to book a taxi to take us out for the day when we were visiting Fred Pybus's war grave.
The house was absolutely lovely, clean and very comfortable with everything you could want already there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the histoire de maison in arras and would definitely recommend it to others. …
