Set in a gated complex with one other rental property, La Petite Maison, Le Moulin is in the beautiful countryside of Pays de la Loire in France. It has two stunning luxury 5 bedroom houses and is complemented by a separate leisure complex complete with a 13 metre indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, gymnasium and games room. There is free WIFI and complimentary bathroom toiletries and welcome basket for guests.Outside, the courtyard leads down to a large garden for lazy days playing boules or just sitting watching the clouds drift by....The main house, Le Moulin, is a converted flour mill, built in the 1940s, stunningly renovated to include all the conveniences of modern life whilst retaining the charm and beauty of a countryside dwelling. It has 5 large bedroom suites which each have a spacious bathroom with WC, a 'mansize' bath and separate shower cubicle and twin handbasins. Tea and coffee making facilities in each suite mean you avoid having to go all the way back downstairs if you've forgotten the cookies with your evening cuppa! On entering Le Moulin, the main hallway leads onto the family TV room/6th bedroom to the right, in front to the basement and the kitchen and dining room to the left. Our well equipped kitchen also leads to a functional utility room with laundry equipment and storage.Upstairs to the first floor, the comfortably furnished foyer - for chillaxing and socialising - leads to the generously proportioned salon (used for many a family gathering, wedding reception and movie night!) through to the separate games room. The remaining bedroom suites are on the second and third floors. The second property, La Petite Maison, is a farmhouse which has been beautifully renovated and is spread over 4 floors. It is a wonderful 'family' style home with 5 large ensuite bedrooms, a modern kitchen and a basement with washing machine and drier. The lounge with wood burner for cosy evenings, a generous entrance hall and a brick built bbq in the quaint rose garden for barmy summer evenings....

The Pays de la Loire region
Le Moulin is in the little village of Desertines, in the town of Gorron, the Mayenne department of the Pays de la Loire. For those who like to explore, it is an ideal base from which to travel to other places of interest. There are weekly markets in most of the surrounding towns; the one in Gorron is on a Wednesday morning - get there early!
You will find plenty of public parks with boating lakes, along with Centres de Loisirs, where you can hire bicycles, go hiking along adventure trails or, for the more intrepid, try kayaking or the high wire walks through the treetops!
Le Moulin is ideally situated to explore the countryside, sample local French cuisine and wine, go cycling, hiking, swimming, shopping or just to relax and unwind...
Famous for its culinary superiority, France is one of the world's most popular tourist destinations, receiving over 80 million foreign visitors each year. Visitors are attracted by the historic cities, the beautiful countryside along with the abundance of castles situated in the Loire Valley, and Brittany and Normandy. In addition, France offers an agreeable climate, some excellent beaches and a rich culture with food and wines that are among the most celebrated in the world.

"Great house in the middle of nowhere"
Just returned from a two week holiday in Le Moulin the house is wonderful loads of space lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, great kitchen. We were a group of 9 ranging from 10years through teens to adults we all enjoyed the gym, pool and games room. I would recommend this for a group who want to spend some time together but be aware it is in the middle of nowhere we had to drive everywhere - there was a bakery in the nearest village (10 mins away) but it was rarely open and the day it did open we went down 8.30 to get breakfast and they had only 4 croissants. Most days we drove over an hour to find something open to do and we gave up on the idea of eating out in the evening as finding somewhere close and open proved impossible one day we were in Lavel (biggest town in the area) and we asked the tourist office where we could eat from their list of 20+ restaurants they thought two might be open when we walked to them they were closed. I recommend the house if you are prepared to make your own entertainment or drive a lot.
We are really happy that you enjoyed your holiday at Le Moulin; as you have said, it is a great place to spend time with large family groups and indeed, a group of friends. Le Moulin is in a rural setting so it does take a little bit of effort to do the things we are more apt to take for granted; with this in mind, we provide all our guests with a comprehensive Welcome Pack with ideas of places to visit, things to do and indeed, directions and details of nearby shops, supermarkets and restaurants to try out. There are guests who have chosen to stay with us at Le Moulin year after year and we are happy that, like them, you have taken the time to give us such a positive review and have given us such a high rating. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

"Perfect place... for all ages!"
My second visit to the chateau, was as good as the first. Went with friends/children the first time and then with family and children this time. Worked well both times...so much space to get away...from whoever! Location is a distance from the beach but possible for a day out. I'm a beach lover tho still recommend this place as it is so relaxing, with lots of in house entertainment for the kids; the indoor pool, table tennis, football table, pool tables, gymnasium etc... Fantastic decor, all very high spec...can't fault it! Good places to visit are st Mont Michel, dinard beach, fougeres.
Thank you for a lovely review. It was a pleasure to have such great guests :) See you again soon we hope....
