Studio Ski Apartment with South Facing Balcony (sleeps 4) in the popular Flaine Foret area, 1 hr 15 mins from Geneva airport, 550 miles from Calais.

The accommodation comprises a purpose built bunk bed suitable for adults or children in the entrance hallway. The bathroom is off the hallway with a new large bath, with shower attachment, a hand basin and toilet. The living room has two sofa's, one being a futon double sofa bed. There are dining table and chairs, and plenty of storage. Flat screen TV (with UK channels) and DVD/CD player. The kitchen area has a 4 ring hob, a full oven, a fridge with ice box, a toaster, and kettle and a small freezer. There is plenty of cutlery, crockery and cooking implements. The apartment has central heating and an electric heater that you control, and there is always plenty of hot water.

Facing South with a Balcony with excellent views of the mountains. There are plenty of lifts in the building for easy access. There is a ski locker on the ground floor. The resort is 'car free', so 1.5 hours is allowed for unloading your car outside the apartment and then your car can be parked in one of the resort's car parks.

Duvets and pillows provided. Please bring own towels and sheets and tea towels.

The apartment is a 150m walk to the pistes, lift ticket office, ski school rendezvous and a carpet lift to green/blue slopes and the 8 man Grand Vans ski lift which links to the extensive Grand Massif ski area. At the same spot is a red slope providing access to the lifts for the whole Flaine area.

Within 100m are ski school booking offices for ESF and several food shops,bars and restaurants, there are also two lifts that connect Flaine Foret to Flaine Forum with additional shops, restaurants and bars, also for the tourist office, medical centre and pharmacy.

Other resorts easy to reach are a 1hr drive to Chamonix, Courmayeur , Les Contamines or Lets Gets (portes de soleil).

Getting around

The Grand Massif ski area includes Samoens, Les Carroz, Morillon and Sixt as well as Flaine and has over 265km of piste. Flaines proximity to Mont Blanc results in an excellent snow record, and it is one of the most snow sure resorts in Europe.. Flaine is particularly family friendly with excellent multi-lingual ski-schools, and safe skiing for young children. There are more challenging runs and plenty of accessible off piste for intermediate and advanced level skiers and snowboarders

A great Flaine studio only 150 m to the pistes. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Cosy and warm. Great, helpful communication with property owner and we would definitely rebook. Many thanks.

Excellent appt - close to the slopes, local amenities and most importantly well kitted out. Owners were very helpful and experienced.
