Spacious Normandy-style house providing comfortable homely accommodation for up to 6 people. Set in a small village just 5 minutes from Brionne with its twice-weekly colourful market (Thursdays + Sundays), a choice of restaurants, supermarkets and a superb lake with a sandy beach, ideal for swimming, boating, windsurfing, fishing, also a children's play area, showers, WC + café.

Second holiday home available nearby - sleeps 4.

Perfect for families - Child-friendly: Spacious mezzanine bedroom/playroom and a fully-equipped play area outside for the little ones with swings, playhouse + sandpit in an enclosed garden. Lots of baby/toddlers' equipment including 2 cots, 2 highchairs, a bath, potty, toilet seat, children's crockery + cutlery, a stair gate etc. Plenty of toys + games (inside + out). There are 2 swimming pools, both a 15-minute drive.

Just right for couples: Visit the beautiful gardens of our local chateaux (4 within a 20-minute drive) or play golf on the 18-hole course. Wander around the quaint village of Bec Hellouin where time seems to stand still. You can buy the monks' hand-made pottery at the Abbey, have a crêpe and a bowl of cider on a terrace restaurant or search for a souvenir in the antique shops. Or if you enjoy sport try canoeing, wind-surfing, fishing, golf, tennis, horse-riding, swimming, or just a stroll in the local shops, mingle with the population, practise your French... ooh la la! Walk in the countryside, grab a bargain at a Brocante (Street Fair), play French boules with the locals, or just sip a glass of wine on a terrace café as you watch the world go by.

Recently built and comfortably furnished: Master bedroom with comfortable king-size bed (150 X 200) on ground floor next to bathroom with walk-in shower and heated towel drier. Spacious bedroom on mezzanine with double bed + 2 single beds. (2 cots + highchairs, baby's bath, stairgate, potty, crockery + cutlery + other toddlers' equipment - available on request). House and bed linen provided (sheets, quilt covers + pillowcases, table cloth, dish cloths + kitchen towels etc). Beds made up for your arrival. Please check with owner regarding bath sheets, hand towels + swimming towels. Welcome Starter-Pack provided including your first breakfast: tea, coffee, milk, sugar, fruit juice, eggs from our hens (when they oblige), toilet paper, salt, pepper, kitchen towels, soap, washing-up liquid, dish-washer + washing machine tablets, charcoal for the barbecue etc

Feed the chickens (enjoy our free-range eggs) + tomatoes + cucumbers from the greenhouse in season. I'm afraid we cannot accept pets, again for the comfort of all our guests.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Maddie (the owner) a message.

If Maddie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
