Perfectly located between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios on Jamaica's North coast, approximately 20 mins from the airport (MBJ), in historic Falmouth with its preserved Georgian architecture and rich history, Cabaña Papaya, a 3br 2bth self-catering vacation home that comfortably sleeps six, is situated in a new gated community called Holland Estates, developed on lands previously used for the cultivation of papayas, in close proximity to beaches and other cultural, heritage and adventure type attractions.

Those attractions include: the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Music Festival held late January each year; rafting on the Martha Brae River; the Good Hope Great House Tour and associated Chukka Adventure activities (think long Zip Lines and ATV trail riding etc); the Swamp Safari; night swimming in a bioluminescent lagoon!; the Falmouth heritage and food tours; the Rose Hall Great House Tour and many, many more - not to mention swimming and/or relaxing at white sandy beaches that are among the safest (shallow and relatively calm) for young children.

Additionally, the cruise ship pier in the town of Falmouth is called upon by mega cruise ships Monday to Friday of each week. Falmouth receives the lion's share of cruise ship visitors to Jamaica but manages to avoid being too touristy. Further, all the other major attractions on Jamaica's North coast are within an hour's drive, including Montego Bay's nightlife approximately 20 mins away.

Cabaña Papaya sits in a quiet slightly elevated cul de sac and benefits from beautiful mountain views and cool breezes. It is fitted with a solar water heater and has Airconditioning units in all three bedrooms. There are also remotely controlled ceiling fans in every bedroom, the living room, and the dining area. Cabaña Papaya has an open plan layout of the main living areas with a large south-facing arched window and is airy and bright throughout.

There is a washer/dryer in the unit for the convenience of guests and the kitchen is fully equipped for ease of self-catering.

Cabaña Papaya also boasts high-speed wired and wireless Internet access and cable TV.

However, AC units consume a lot of electricity and are bad for our environment. Help us to reduce our carbon footprint by using only as needed. As soon as the room gets cool enough, please turn off the AC and use the fan to finish the job. Make sure all windows and doors are closed when the AC unit in that room is on.

The rules surrounding reasonable electricity consumption are enforced. However, excess use is conveniently facilitated via a pay-as-you-go electricity meter.
