- Very Good
“Cosy yet spacious and light, with a lovely view across the lawn”
This is a cottage that has the best of all worlds: cosy yet spaceous, with large windows so it is very light with a lovely view across the lawn towards the hill and woods opposite. It is close enough to Excideuil so you can walk in for a mid-morning coffee, but far out enough so that it feels secluded and peaceful. Lovely walks in various direction according to your mood. My favourite was up to St. Raphael, which is about 3 miles. A pleasant short trip by car is to Haute Fort, which is both a charming village and a magnificent chateau. The bar there has a fantastic view across the valley.
