Il Molino Maufet is located in Località Villatico along the ancient Mologgia Roggia of the historic village of Fontanedo dating back to 1300, the first settlement of the town. Fourth survivor of a complex of 11 mills. The original nucleus dates back to 1702 and, as today, it was formed by two millstones put into motion by as many vertical wheels (weigher) fed with the water of the facing canal. In the 60s of the last century, the water supply system was less like the work at the source and the disposal of the last mill (the oldest) operating in the village. The mill was active until the '60s and progressively unfortunately abandoned. With all the passion possible about 2 years ago we started to restore it in order to bring it back to its former glory and use it as a museum, making it accessible to visitors. In addition to the desire not to lose an important historical memory, strong is the desire to be able to revive visitors the warm and floury atmosphere, an important reference of social aggregation for the local community, of the two small muliné brothers who with so much simple dedication and care managed it.
