We had a fantastic week at Kellet Lodge. The owners provided everything you could possibly need. It was very spacious and coped easily with 8 people . It is in a great location for exploring the coast and the Lakes. The leisure facilities were also greatly appreciated.

Owner's reply: Thank you Heather hope to see you again

“Lovely lodge”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2017

Just spent a week at Kellet Lodge. Four generations of our family aged between 80 and five years old - we all loved it! The owners, Frances and Diane were on hand to show us around on arrival and couldn't have been more helpful. The lodge is spacious, nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. Everything that you could think of, from hairdryers to washing up liquid was provided. Thankfully, as there were seven of us, there's also a dishwasher. The owners have thoughtfully stocked the shelves with a good selection of dvds, books and board games. The lodge is situated in a very pretty, quiet location, with a view of the lake from the lounge and outside deck area. We ate in the nearby Water's Edge restaurant several times as the food was lovely. There are lots of things to do in the surrounding area: the kids loved the nearby farm with the opportunity to feed the animals, ride donkeys, play on the little beach or in the playbarn. For the grown ups there are also two cafes and a farm shop and winery. The site is very handy for Lakeside, and Haverthwaite Station which are about twenty five minutes drive away. We had a great week and were blessed with some sunny weather. We'd love to go back and stay at Kellet Lodge again.

Owner's reply: Lovely review thank you. Look forward to seeing you again.

“Amazing, spacious, Lovely Lodge”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2017

OMG this lodge is amazing along with the owners. It was my brothers 40th birthday so we hired for a long weekend. Frances was so nice she decorated the lodge with banners and balloons and left a card and wine for my brother. The lodge has everything you need, hairdryer, hairstaightners, handwash, toilet rolls even washing up liquid honestly you dont need to take a thing except yourself, clothes and toiletries. The lodge is amaculate very spacious and very clean. Would recomend this lodge to all ages, cant wait to book again. Mel, Ant, Brayden & Korby

Owner's reply: Thank you. Glad your brother enjoyed his surprise and you all had a good time. See you soon.

“Kellet lodge, south lakeside park”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2017

This was great accommodation- we had our 2 kids and 2 mothers and it suited our needs perfectly. Comfy sofas and beds, perfect layout and facilities- everyone was happy for the week. Frances was really welcoming, and on site so was there if we needed anything but we didn't, it was great. Nice surroundings- quiet and peaceful, the onsite restaurant was nice and bright. I guess the only comment regards the site would be perhaps they could do with a little shop to sell papers and bread etc but this is only a 5 min drive off site. Fab holiday for us!

Owner's reply: Thank you for the review good to know you enjoyed yourselves. Hope to see you again Regard Frances

A ladies weekend of pampering and relaxation was what we were hoping for and boy did this lodge deliver.SPOTLESS. WELL-EQUIPPED LOVELY DECOR. LAKE VIEW. LARGE DECKED AREA. AMPLE PARKING. CLOSE TO AMENITIES in fact everything we needed and more. Onsite spa, pool and gym (not on our agenda this time) plus bar and restaurant. We didn.t venture any further, we didn.t need to. A perfect weekend break

“Excellent accommodation”

Reviewed 31 May 2017

We arrived at Kellet Lodge, Friday evening at 5pm. Frances was there to greet us and show us the lodge. I've caravanned all my life and I was pleased to see we had chosen such a lovely home from home lodge to stay in. The bedrooms were decorated tastefully and everyone had a good night's sleep. We travelled as 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 under 5's. Inside there are smoke games and toys for young children our boys were entertained. The position of the lodge is lovely overlooking the lake. A moments walk to the onsite bar/restaurant (little expensive) but we were able to sit and watch the little one's play on the sand. We hope to return to Kellet Lodge again!

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review hope to see you again soon.

“A great location for being closer to Nature.”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2017

The location was excellent as our daughter lives in Carnforth and we spent most days together with her, her partner, our two sons , their partners and our two granddaughters. The girls loved searching for "bunnies" and being so close to the ducks. The lodge was very well equipped , clean and comfortable, but it took us some time to adjust to the gas cooker as the pressure seemed very low and food took much longer to cook. There could have been a concession at the pool as the price seemed exorbitant at £17 + for a couple, who only wanted to swim. The beach was too close to the lake for our granddaughters' safety so we went to Morecambe for the day. The website stated "all linens " ,but bath towels were not included and previous experience of self catering taught us to check. Everybody enjoyed the week there , especially the visit to the Beatrix Potter experience and the Play Barn .We also visited Leighton Moss , which is a wonderful RSPB site with amazing resources for the whole family and great cakes in the tea room.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your review. Hope to see you again

“Lovely lodge”

Great lodge set on a park with similar lodges and a leisure centre gym, swimming pool, exercise classes, spa and restaurant. WE only used the pool family ticket £10 (2 adults up to 3 children). There is a lake which you can easily walk around all flat surfaces. We spent an afternoon//evening in blackpool for the illuminations was around an hour away. Went to Lake windermere around 30 mins away didn't quite make it to Morecombe 20 mins away chose to relax at the lodge and play cards and watch did with the children. All cooking facilities worked, lights etc all bedding was provided and beds comfortable. We took our own slow cooker which was great after a days exploring.

“Absolutely fantastic weekend!”

Reviewed 25 Oct 2016

What a lovely lovely lodge! I wasn't expecting anywhere near as much space as there was in the lodge, our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 children and not once did we feel cramped. There were two bathrooms so never an argument or race to get there first. The beds were so comfy and the heating so efficient we never felt cold. Everything we needed was catered for and the decking was fab for the kids to play out on. The views were lovely and at night the sky above the area was so full of stars! Would definately recommend and would stay again in a heart beat!
