Description

The Wren's Nest is a tastefully restored 17th century dwelling, maintaining many original features such as stone walls, solid wood floors and oak beams. Compact yet comfortable, and all on one level, the Wren's Nest provides a romantic, secluded base for your holiday. Situated facing the communal garden with far reaching views across the farmland and woods beyond, it really is a tranquil retreat.

The kitchen and dining area contains all the modern conveniences you could possibly need. There is a lovely stone walled shower room with wc and basin. The double bedroom also has exposed Breton stone work and with the lovely high ceiling is light and airy. Outside the Wren's Nest has its own seating and BBQ area, beyond which is the large communal garden, leading to the heated 10 x 4m swimming pool. Parking is at the front of the property.

The Wren's Nest is often used as a complement to the Longère or Cider Press, for larger families or if ground level accommodation is required.

“Lovely, peaceful, relaxing break - a real gem!”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2014

The Wren's Nest was part of a beautiful, restored farmhouse. It was cosy, comfortable and characterful with everything you needed for a getaway for 2. We found it in very good condition and the owners were extremely helpful and very welcoming. Set in the countryside, it was only a short car drive to shops and amenities. We loved the pool, which was immaculately kept, and enjoyed sitting in the garden, reading, barbecuing in the evening. Exciting, too, watching the glorious thunder storm from the cosiness of the Wren's Nest! We had a lovely time. Thank you!

“A haven of peace”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2011

This little gite is a haven of peace. Tucked at the back of two larger gites Wren's Nest faces onto a big garden with views out on to open countryside. There is also a very nice pool area. The pool is heated to a pleasant temperature. As the name implies - Wren's Nest is small and quite simply appointed but nicely done. The only disadvantage if you hit really bad weather is that it doesn't have a sitting area - Just a bedroom area and a kitchen. We had mixed weather but still had a great time. The owners live in an adjacent house and are very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We recommend Le Cheval Blanc in nearby Baud for a meal.

“a great base to explore southern Brittany”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2011

This was a last minute decision to go to Brittany and we found this little gem on the net. Ideal for a couple and a great base to explore the countryside and coastline. There are two other larger properties attached that accomodate larger parties/families but this was no problem. Tony and Barbara were very helpful but did not intrude. The property is about 5 min drive from nearest village/shop and about 15mins from the town of Baud. Not too much choice for restaurants nearby - guess people eat in or barbeque - we tended to eat at lunchtime because of this. Overall, we had a great trip and would recommend.

“Wonderful stay”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2011

We stayed at the Wrens Nest - 2 adults and baby . It was a lovely cosy property , full of character with everything that we could have needed during our stay. The owners had thoughtfully left a high chair for our baby to use as well as a baby bath, and travel cot. Tony and Barbara were on hand to assist with any enquires we had about the local area. Camors is close to many towns and villages of interest and we were only had a short drive to reach Vannes . Our hosts were lovely and the property was everything we had hoped for and more and we hope to return in the near future. Thank -you Tony and Barbara for a lovely stay . Highly recommended - book now! The
