Location description from owner

Northern Ireland region

The North Antrim Coast is one of the most beautiful places Ireland has to offer. There are miles of stunning beaches and a wealth of places to visit and things to do. Staying in Bushmills you are less than 3 miles from the iconic Giants Causway which is home to a wealth of local history and legend. One of the most famous beaches is Whiterocks which is popular with surfers and body boarders alike. Its unique limestone cliffs have been eroded over the years to form a labarynth of spectacular caves and arches. Like all the beaches nearby the water quality is excellent.

Bushmills

In a child friendly cul de sac you are ideally located to explore the North Antrim Coast. There are excellent restaurants and pubs that can be reached within a five minute walk. In the surrounding area there is an abundance of activities with the Giants Causeway, Carrick- a-rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle all close at hand. The garden at Dunluce Cottage overlooks the River Bush which is famous for its Salmon Fishing. “Great value in a family-friendly house”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2015

Everything about this house was ideal for a young family - close proximity to the village and to the North Coast and the facilities in the house make it an ideal base for a holiday.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review Dunluce Cottage and for booking again for next summer. I am so glad that you liked the house and I look forward to welcoming you back next year. Lets hope we get plenty of sunshine !

“Relaxing weekend away”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2015

The house is a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the main street which hosts a number of restaurants and pubs, and the owner was very helpful in advising where she would recommend. The owners also have a selection of movies, books and games in the house to keep you entertained if it is cold/wet outside. Although we went in February and didn't get to use the picnic bench in the back garden, this overlooks the bush river and could be amazing with the sound of the water flowing and the sun beating down. :) This property is well equiped with all the amenities you could want to make your holiday relaxing including a dishwasher and condenser if you need to get something washed and dried quickly.

Thank you very much for your review. I am so glad that you enjoyed the house and found my recommendations helpful. You will have to return when the weather is warmer and you can enjoy the patio - there really is no where nicer for an evening drink ! Best Wishes, Dorothy.

“An ideal holiday home for all the family”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2014

The house is a short walk from Bushmills. The development was very peaceful and safe and our children enjoyed playing outside the house, front and back. The house is beautifully decorated and there are plenty of games, DVD's, books and play station games to entertain the kids and parents on rainy days. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit the stunning beaches in the surrounding area, search for crabs in the rock pools , swim and play golf. We also sampled the wide variety of food on offer at the many restaurants nearby. Our eldest daughter cried as we were leaving, because she had enjoyed herself so much; so we will be back! Thank you for a lovely holiday! The Rankins x

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so glad that your family enjoyed the house and that you had a good holiday. Tears on departure are a definite sign of a holiday enjoyed !! I would love to welcome you back to Dunluce Cottage some time in the future. Kindest Regards, Dorothy.

“Excellent holiday rental in Bushmills”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2014

Spent a lovely holiday at this excellent house in Bushmills. The owner of the house had thought of just about everything to enable guests to enjoy their stay. The house was roomy and comfortable and the decor was very tasteful. We found the situation of the rental so handy to visit all the resorts on the North Coast. There were a number of good restaurants in close proximity and so all in all I can highly recommend this holiday rental. I will not hesitate to rebook this cottage in the future.

Thank you so much for your kind review of the house. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay and took the opportunity to dine out! Bushmills Inn for a drink followed by dinner in the French Rooms is hard to beat! I hope you do rebook some time in the future as I would love to welcome you back to Dunluce Cottage. Warmest Regards, Dorothy.
