Very Good

“2 night stay”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2018

It was a very basic house but at the same time suited me and my family well . It was in a very quiet location. A little pricey considering u can get the premier inn for less . I know it said to checkout on a sat by 10.30 but found it very off putting when the cleaners were sitting outside the door at that time felt rushed out in the end could have at least give people 5/10 mins grace before they arrive .

Owner's reply: Thank you for booking the house and taking the time to write a review. I’m sorry that you felt rushed at check out time. There was other guests arriving the same day so the house keeper had to get the house ready for them. Although you felt under pressure there really was no need as we understand that things don’t always run like clockwork. I’m glad that the house suited your family well. Warm regards, Dot.

“A Very Good Base”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2018

Four of us enjoyed a very enjoyable stay at this very modern and well appointed house. It was a great location to explore the highlights of The Causeway Coast area. Bushmills itself was a very friendly and welcoming town. We had an excellent stay walking the Causeway Coastal Way amongst many other visits. The guidance given by the owner prior to arrival was absolutely superb, so much so we ran out of time to read the many books, watch the incredible stack of DVD's and missed out on a tour of the Bushmills distillery. Next time...……………

Owner's reply: Thank you for your very kind review. I’m delighted that you enjoyed your stay. There’s so much to do in the surrounding area that our family are still working their way through the DVD’s ! Thanks you for your booking and have a great summer. Warmest regards, Dot.

“Cosy, spacious house in a great location”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2017

The house was clean, comfortable and welcoming. Great location close to lots of wonderful Northern Irish sights. Dot gave lots of great suggestions of things to do and was very helpful throughout the stay, and the house was well equipped with books, dvds and games to while away the rainier afternoons.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the house and your holiday. Hopefully you will return when the weather is warmer! Best wishes, Dot.

“Handy location with plenty to do irrespective of the weather”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2017

Great instructions from Dorothy, easy to find. Very good information folder and gorgeous fudge too!! Thank you. We only stayed 2 nights and some restaurants weren't open, so we had a chinese takeaway on the first night and a lovely meal in Tartine at the Distillers Arms on the second night. The weather was pretty bad but we loved having the open fire and the house was cozy with the central heating on. The house is well equipped with lots of extras to make it family friendly. Excellent range of DVDs to choose from. It was nice to walk into Bushmills and not have to worry abour driving home.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your lovely review. It was a real pity about the bad weather but it didn't seem to dampen your holiday ! Tartine is one of my favourites too and with it being so close you don't need a designated driver ! Hopefully you will return when the weather is better and you can enjoy a drink on the patio. Thank you for your booking, Warmest Regards, Dorothy

“Very pleasant stay”

Very clean and tidy cottage good location easy access to Bushnell's there are plenty of good restaurants.Good facilities in cottage.Only drawback patio area could do with bushes being cut back a lot

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the house. I've had all the bushes cut back on the patio area and also put up fencing. This makes it totally private and secure, ideal for those with younger children. Hopefully I'll welcome you back some time in the future. Best wishes, Dorothy.

“Great value in a family-friendly house”

Reviewed 27 Jul 2015

Everything about this house was ideal for a young family - close proximity to the village and to the North Coast and the facilities in the house make it an ideal base for a holiday.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for taking the time to review Dunluce Cottage and for booking again for next summer. I am so glad that you liked the house and I look forward to welcoming you back next year. Lets hope we get plenty of sunshine !

“Relaxing weekend away”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2015

The house is a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the main street which hosts a number of restaurants and pubs, and the owner was very helpful in advising where she would recommend. The owners also have a selection of movies, books and games in the house to keep you entertained if it is cold/wet outside. Although we went in February and didn't get to use the picnic bench in the back garden, this overlooks the bush river and could be amazing with the sound of the water flowing and the sun beating down. :) This property is well equiped with all the amenities you could want to make your holiday relaxing including a dishwasher and condenser if you need to get something washed and dried quickly.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your review. I am so glad that you enjoyed the house and found my recommendations helpful. You will have to return when the weather is warmer and you can enjoy the patio - there really is no where nicer for an evening drink ! Best Wishes, Dorothy.

“An ideal holiday home for all the family”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2014

The house is a short walk from Bushmills. The development was very peaceful and safe and our children enjoyed playing outside the house, front and back. The house is beautifully decorated and there are plenty of games, DVD's, books and play station games to entertain the kids and parents on rainy days. We enjoyed the opportunity to visit the stunning beaches in the surrounding area, search for crabs in the rock pools , swim and play golf. We also sampled the wide variety of food on offer at the many restaurants nearby. Our eldest daughter cried as we were leaving, because she had enjoyed herself so much; so we will be back! Thank you for a lovely holiday! The Rankins x

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so glad that your family enjoyed the house and that you had a good holiday. Tears on departure are a definite sign of a holiday enjoyed !! I would love to welcome you back to Dunluce Cottage some time in the future. Kindest Regards, Dorothy.
