Residence Cybele was originally built to accommodate athletes during the 1992 Winter Olympics and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment. The residence comprises 132 apartments in a seven story building (with lift), conveniently located just 300m from the centre of town and 600m from the Olympic Gondola to Meribel.Guests have free access (via a code, obtainable from reception) to an indoor, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna although this area is not always open and, during reception hours, a games room with pool table, video games and pin -ball. Other useful services include a laundry, a ski equipment shop, ski lockers and paid for wi-fi internet access in reception. The apartment has a new widescreen TV, showing both satellite and cable, including English channels available via Sky. I have access to a negotiated discount of 40% on ski hire as well as service (edge and wax for 10 euros overnight) at the Intersport shop next to the main reception at the residence and will let you know what to quote for these discounts once your booking is confirmed and paid for. This is 15% better than the available discount by booking direct with the hotel.There is access to the property, via a door to the left of reception, at all times so you can arrive as late as you like and you will always get in! Please note that end of stay cleaning is included in the prices quoted, at a cost of £50 which is passed in its entirety to a cleaning company. There is a compulsory damage deposit of £150 or 150 EUR which may be sent by cheque but that is 100% refundable (we can destroy or return your cheque) after the apartment is checked over at the end of your stay.This is a luxuriously furnished studio apartment, measuring approximately 28m2, that sleeps four via a double sofa bed and two single bunk beds in an alcove. There is a bathroom with WC and shower above the bath. The adjoining kitchenette is equipped with a ceramic hob, a microwave/grill, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, and the necessary crockery, cutlery and utensils. Based in the beautiful town of Brides les Bains, with its river and bridges, it offers easy and quick access to the vast 3 Vallees skiing via either Telecabine or driving up to Meribel Centre, either way, less than 30 minutes door to door. The apartment is located 300m from the resort centre and 600m from the Olympic gondola. There is a free local bus that goes from just outside the Residence to the Olympic gondola and back in the evening or, otherwise, it's about a 10 minute walk and there are ski lockers in Meribel (at the top of the gondola) if you don't want to do this in ski boots! Staying in Brides les Bains offers you a cost-effective way of skiing the whole of the extensive 3 Vallees area and, on occasion, you can even ski all the way back! Brides-les-Bains offers access to an impressive 600km of slopes for skiers of all abilities and energy levels! The Meribel Valley itself boasts 140km of slopes, as well as two snowparks. Cross-country skiing The Meribel ski area offers 33km of cross-country trails, which are suitable for skiers of all abilities. In Meribel Centre, the 'Les Saturins' nursery offers childcare to children aged between 18 months to 3 years and is located in the centre of the Olympic Park, offering both indoor and outdoor activities. The 'Les Petits Loups' kindergarten located in Meribel Centre and Meribel Mottaret welcomes slightly older children aged from 3 to 5 years. There are a number of restaurants and pubs in Brides les Bains so you can choose to apres ski within walking distance of your apartment. There are also several shops providing day to day groceries and ski equipment/clothing, including a ski rental shop at the residence itself which offers good discounts on hire. Breakfast (croissants etc) can also be purchased in the reception area every morning. Changeover day is flexible for a week's stay and short stays are also possible, subject to availability. Lift pass prices for skiers staying in Brides-les-Bains include access to the gondola and these can be purchased in-resort or in advance. A pass of at least six days includes one day in one other resort such as La Plagne/Les Arcs or Tignes/Val d'Isere. Bed linen and towels are not included automatically but can be booked and paid for in advance via the cleaning company. There is free, secure, underground parking. Other services that we can offer include arranging for ski passes to be pre purchased and delivered to you on arrival. Shopping can be pre-ordered and delivered for a charge of plus the cost of the shopping. This is normally saved by the cost of a large (say, 200 euros) supermarket shop compared to shopping locally. Welcome food, containing milk, orange juice, bread, butter, ham, cheese and tea bags can be ordered a few days prior to arrival. In the summer, this is a great location for hill walking, cycling, tennis (facilities in the town and in nearby Moutiers) and river-rafting. Brides les Bains is a genuine dual season resort so is as busy in summer as in winter. It is known for its spa facilities and, in the summer, local restaurants offer calorie controlled menus! The local water is free and comes highly recommended! Other activities in Brides les Bains include a fitness/spa centre with hammam, saunas, treatments and whirlpool, cinema, night clubs, a casino, bars and restaurants.

Je vous prie de m'excuser pour votre absence de télévision française pendant toute la durée de votre séjour. J'ai essayé de faire venir quelqu'un pour régler le problème mais ils n'ont jamais répondu à ma demande. J'ai depuis découvert que la télévision française est devenue numérique, mais ma boîte n'a jamais été changée pour cela. J'ai maintenant commandé une nouvelle boîte et j'achèterai un plus grand écran de télévision car je suis d'accord avec vous que celui fourni quand j'ai acheté l'appartement est un peu petit.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nicki (the owner) a message.

If Nicki (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
