Beautiful, well equipped accommodation full of well thought out extras including guide books, candles, bicycle and cigars! Other positives: underground car park; tranquility; brilliant cycling, swimming, walking, exploring, opportunities; jacuzzi on the roof terrace; beautiful surroundings/views Negatives: if you have relatives/friends in the area you might resent spending time with them outside the resort!

“Peaceful and relaxing”

A lovely remote quiet resort. All was kept clean and neat despite more building going on. The pool was beautiful as was small beach, we often had them to ourselves! The gym too was well equipped and very accessible. We would recommend hiring a car as it's several kilometer to nearest shop/ restaurant. If you like it lively this is not for you, but the people there were very friendly and welcoming and we spent several evenings at Beached ( the complex's bar) which was very enjoyable. The apartment was spacious and well equipped though a full length mirror would be good. The air conditioning was very welcome. John was helpful in suggesting local car hire, restaurants, nearest shops, directions etc he also provided a good selection of DVD s. Thank you we has a lovely 2 weeks and will be returning.

There was everything we need inside the apartments. It was very convenient to cook barbecue, eat and even sleep on the roof and look at stars and moon. Owner's mountain bike was very useful, I rode it every morning. Wi-fi internet was fast enough to make video calls. Pool is very convenient for babies as there is area 25cm deep. Underground parking is very good because it was cool in the car even during hot afternoon. The only bad thing is the beach. There are sharp stones on the sea floor, water is muddy and contains some oil spots. But it is not a big problem if you have a car because Golden beach, Glapsides beach, Kaplica beach, Kaya Artemis and a lot of other great beaches are nearby from apartments.

With regards to the beach, the new jetty & breakwater had only just been constructed which disturbed the seabed somewhat. All of this has been remedied and is back to normal. Have a look at the beach shot (#2 in our pictures). I think you will see how fantastic this all looks now! I hope you will come back and visit soon to enjoy some more of the warm Northern Cypriot hospitality.

I had only been to Southern Cyprus before this trip, and while there are some beautiful places to visit, I feel like it's become a bit spoilt and a friend advised that Northen Cyprus would renew my love of the island....and they were right! The people are friendly and genuine, the food is absolutely delicious and there's so much natural beauty, coastline and unspoilt countryside. We stayed in a beautiful apartment in the Thalassa resort - tastefully decorated by the owner, with all mod cons, who could not have been more helpful when we booked it, giving us as much information as he could about where to go, car rentals and any other little questions we had. The resort itself has an amazing pool, but I loved lounging on the jetty that juts out into the sea from Thalassa's own private beach. The surroundings are full of wild flowers and we went on some gorgeous walks along the coast - though I think it would be too hot to do this much later than the end of May. I think it's useful to have a car as there is not anything really within walking distance, though I understand that soon after we were there a little cafe/grocery was opening on site. But in any case, it's worth having a car to explore the island a bit - the wild Karpas with its stunning beaches, a day trip to Kyrenia and Bellapais amongst others. I look forward to seeing more of beautiful places since we hope to return next year. The kitchen has everything you need to rustle up some meals with the lovely fresh local produce and there's even a barbecue on the stunning roof top balcony with views across the sea and a hot tub! We also enjoyed a few restaurants that the owner recommended that are between five and twenty minutes from the resort - ALL delicious. Everything tastes better when there's a view of the sea. There are also two 5* hotels which are a five minute drive away, where you can also eat, or we just stopped by for a drink. I'm told you can even use their facilities for a small fee, but we didn't need to as we loved the atmosphere at Thalassa. All in all it was the perfect holiday for us in a really lovely and comfortable apartment and I'm already planning my next adventure there.
