Newly refurbished farmhouse with panoramic views of Knocklayde and Orra mountains. Situated at the foot of the Glens of Antrim, surrounded by arable farmland, wildlife-inhabited woodland, swan-filled lakes, Turnagrove Fishery and Lissanoure Estate.

The large and private garden to the front of the house offers a child-friendly lawn for lots of outdoor family activities.

Three bedrooms are located on the upper floor with access to the family bathroom. Bedroom 4 is downstairs next to the shower room & W.C. All have king sized beds.

The living room has a wood burning stove and wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen diner has a range cooker, dish washer, fridge, freezer and all equipment needed to cater for a large family or friends get together. Ajoining utility room has additional sink, storage, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The Pharis Smithy is a 45 minute drive from the Larne Ferry Ports, and Belfast Airports. Translink bus stop is 2 minute walk from the house, with links to railway stations and nearby towns.

From Ballycastle you can take a boat trip to Rathlin Island or drive the coastal route south to Watertop Open Farm, Torr Head scenic route, Glenariff Forest Park, Carnfunnock Country Park and many tranquil seaside villages. Game of Thrones fans can drive down the Kings Road, known locally as The Dark Hedges (10 minute drive). Outdoor activities are available nearby such as pony trekking at Sheans Horse Farm (5 min drive), golf at Gracehill Golf Club and fishing at Turnagrove Fisheries.

“Beautiful views and very clean”

Reviewed 3 Sep 2017

All ten of us were very pleasantly surprised by just how nice this place was. Very beautiful views from the front, right in the middle of all local attractions and not too far from a farm shop and other conveniences. Thank you Jayne, our stay was fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough.

“Superb Farmhouse Holiday”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2016

This is a beautifully modernised Farmhouse, that has been made very comfortable and is thoughtfully well equipped. The property has plenty of character, and superb views, so it's very much a "one off" holiday home. It's located quietly away from the main road, so feels more remote than its well connected position, It accommodated our party of 11 very well with the safe garden and excellent pool table being particularly appreciated. The area is great for holidays - we had plenty to do (despite the weather!) The coast and Glens of Antrim are well worth exploring. Jayne was excellent with all the arrangements. The house was spotless on arrival and welcoming. All in all a great base for a holiday.
