This 200-year-old cottage is nestled in the midst of sunflower fields and rolling hills. Recently refurbished, modern appliances and new furnishings complement the many original features the building offers and create a comfortable space for up to 6 adults.
This is a place that allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle. Explore the nearby villages, chateaux and farmers markets; savour the best of the local wine, cognac and cheese producers; or simply relax with a book by the river.
Appearances can be deceptive. Although our cottage looks small from the outside, inside it offers three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), a large bathroom, comfortable lounge and a spacious dining kitchen.
The cottage was renovated recently, including installing a new kitchen and bathroom and replacing most of the furniture including the beds. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and crockery, plus a cooker with a hob, grill and oven, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster.
There is a first floor veranda which provides a great view of the large garden and the fields beyond, and a small patio area – both are perfect for that pre-dinner aperitif and alfresco eating. Guests also have use of our riverside garden.
The cottage is very remote - the nearest village is 8km away - therefore a car is essential.
