Quinta do Açor is not your average rental villa, it's our beautiful home that we let for some months the year . You can rent as a couple or bring your family and friends . You will have the whole property to yourselves it has no neighbors and the owners are not living nearby like a lot of rentals ! You have total privacy and peace ! You will find the house very comfortable and well equipped. It's secluded with no one looking over you , but within walking distance of the village, a restaurant, bars and beautiful sandy river beach and cafe. The villa is in easy reach of all the local amenities of the towns of Arganil and Tabua. The perfect place to sunbathe, completely relax and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains from your private twelve by five metre chemical free pool. There are so many different areas to choose from in sun or shade. you can really spread out and enjoy the space. On entering the villa you have a very large courtyard which leads to the very spacious outdoor covered second kitchen.
This has an electric double oven and gas 6 burner range cooker, fridge and dishwasher, this is where most people seem to get together and enjoy each other's company. Also to have breakfast, lunch or evening meals at either one of the two large tables, one under the shade of the grape vines and kiwis, or the one under cover with a ceiling fan for a cool breeze ! You can light the barbecue here or you can even get the wood fired brick and clay bread oven going and have a go at pizza making or slow cooking stews after the bread or pizza has done .
Around the villa there is free fast wifi, satellite and internet smart TVs. The villas inside kitchen has a gas hob, microwave and electric oven, a dishwasher, fridge machine, lots of kitchen appliances and a large table with seating. Just outside shaded by an umbrella is a large round table with a lazy Susan, another great spot for meeting up as the villa does give you a lot of privacy from each other too if you fancy it !
Accommodation consists of four bedrooms. Three very large bedrooms with kingsize beds, handmade mattresses, walk in wardrobes, luxury bathrooms with designer bathroom furniture, large baths and walk in jet showers. All the bedroom windows have insect screens and French doors leading to private seating areas. A further bedroom with kingsize or if needed twin beds , a private wet room and French doors, leads to a covered balcony area with table and chairs and ceiling fans . It is possible to set up a cot or another single bed in any room if wanted . Inside there are two lounges with lots of large sofas and quality soft furnishings. moving outside and up the lit granite stairs, there is a beautiful quiet large sun deck with sofas, pillows and shade sails which catches the last of the days sun. Here you have all round views of the villa , courtyards, the pool area, bar and through the lovely spacious grounds and gardens to the spectacular mountains in the distance.The bar is a large separate building full of character near to the pool but away from the main house with integrated bathroom facilities.Inside you have a good quality free pool table, various games including chess and darts, wi fi and a great sound system for streaming media . There is comfortable seating and bar stools . There is a long decorative bar with optics and mood lighting for any occasion, with ice maker and large drinks fridge. The bar also has air conditioning and fully folding opening doors to an outside terrace with a large table and chairs and a full awning. There is a fully equipped laundry room with washing machine, tumble drier, irons, ironing board and an extra freezer. There are lots of areas all around the villa for shade and sun with more tables, chairs and hammocks where you can sit to relax or socialise. The property is set in spacious grounds with an organic vegetable garden and orchards, and is surrounded by a cork oak forest and miles of tracks. Perfect for nature lovers, with miles of countryside for walking, mountain biking, and other activities such as riding, kayaking and abseiling or as a base from which to explore the markets, historic towns and villages and to soak up the Portuguese culture.
