Small, quaint, traditional thatched cottage in a unique location about 100 yards from The Curragh Beach and enjoying sea views. The historic fishing village of Ardmore is two miles by road or just a 15 minute walk across the main Ardmore Blue Flag Beach. The village- listed in the top 10 most attractive villages in Ireland, has the award winning “5 Star Cliff House Hotel”, restaurants, pubs, Quinn’s supermarket and Ardmore Water Sports Centre.

This is a pre – famine fisherman’s thatched cottage built in the year 1840 which has been completely restored and renovated.. It is normally rented from Saturday to Saturday. Well-furnished and equipped, small kitchen / sitting room with multi fuel stove, Sleeps max of 4 persons – main bedroom with double bed and 1 small box- room with two bunk beds one over the other (access to the small bedroom and the bathroom is through the main bedroom). Radio, T.V, DVD, washing machine, electric storage heating. INTERNET: While WiFi is not available there is very good mobile coverage and you can use "hotspot" on your phone for internet access.

Interaction with guest

Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 11am to facilitate with cleaning and preparation of the cottage. Bed linen will be provided free of charge. Electricity and storage heating are charged as extras – both meters are read on arrival and departure and you pay for whatever you use. There will be an information sheet on the kitchen table with caretaker and Office phone no's and information on the use of the heating, solid fuel stove, electricity meters, appliances etc.( We will also ring you on arrival to explain these to you ). Up to 3 black refuse sacks of rubbish can be left at the end of your stay free of charge. There will be an additional charge on departure for any extra bags that are left there.

This is a small thatched cottage in a wonderful location beside the beach and suitable for a couple or a couple with one or two children .......for comfort not more than 4 persons. Additional guests are not allowed for insurance reasons.
Also no parties, family gatherings or other similar events, due to the coronavirus pandemic and insurance reasons
B B Q's are strictly not allowed as this is a THATCHED COTTAGE ....the beach is only 100 yards away so no problem having a BBQ down there .

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Tom and Mary (the owner) a message.

If Tom and Mary (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
