Welcome to Amboise. Fully restored in 2013, this detached house on the banks of the Loire offers a magnificent view on the Royal River. On the ground floor, living room/kitchen fully equipped (sofa, TV/international channels, wifi etc.) and the 1st bedroom (2 beds of 90) with shower room and wc. Upstairs, the 2nd bedroom (bed 140 with its bathroom and wc) and the 3rd bed (140) with its bathroom and wc. Garden fully enclosed 450 m2 with indoor parking. “Great house for Loire Valley exploration”

We were 2 couples - no children - and the house was perfect for us. Across the road from Netto supermarket and petrol station, 2 minutes walk from a pizza restaurant, fabulous boulangerie and Amboise market. About 10 minutes walk into the centre of Amboise for restaurants and sightseeing. Within 30 mins drive of various chateaux and wine growers. Jean-Loic met us on arrival, was friendly and helpful, and his English is much better than my French. The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are very steep for anyone not steady on their feet, so best given the bedroom downstairs. The house is comfortable and well equipped, although we had to run the dishwasher most days to avoid running out of dishes and glasses. The view from the back bedroom is glorious, and it was good to be able to park in the drive and get the car off the road. The outdoor seating area was used every day, and at dusk it provided a wonderful view of the tiny bats which swooped around the garden. We all really enjoyed our stay at Vue sur Loire and would happily return tomorrow.

Being close to the river and centre of Amboise made this an excellent base for exploring the Loire Valley region. The house was very well-equipped and Jean-Loic could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We particularly enjoyed the garden and view of the river from the rear bedroom, while the small supermarket and petrol station across the road were highly useful. We'd also recommend the small pizzeria a short distance away, which provides excellent pizzas. Altogether a most enjoyable stay and we would definitely consider staying here again if we decided to return to this area.
