You literally can have it all here at Grandmont Gites.
Relaxation within the extensive grounds and by the heated pool or getting active with local sports and activities. THESE FACILITIES ARE SHARED WITH GUESTS OF OUR OTHER GITE.
On the doorstep: heated pool, large garden with trampoline, sun lounges and BBQs.
Further afield: visit the popular city of Limoges (capital of the Haute-Vienne department) with its stunning historical architecture, including the cathedral and museum as well as local markets and restaurants, Limoges' famous pottery and the mesmerizing fountains at Gare de Limoges-Benedictins inaugurated in 1929. You can even take a tour via the Petit train. Distance from Grandmont approx 20 mins drive.
Closer to home (10 mins drive from Grandmont) is the medieval and immaculate town of Ambazac, frequently visited by les-tour-de-France. Here you'll find plenty of boutiques, bars, patisseries, a good pizza takeout, beautiful restaurant, and three handy superstores. A visit to the town's charming 13th-century church which holds two of the region's most precious relics is a must.
A 20-minute drive will take you to Lac de Saint Pardoux... a beach-in-reach! Canoeing, zip-wiring through the trees, fishing, cycling and much, much more.
We highly recommend a visit to the City of Limoges - a popular tourist attraction which can be reached by car in less than 30 minutes.
About Gite Les Arbes
The name (which translates to The Trees) derives from the cottages' original purpose as a local bar for residents of Grandmont, and bar itself remains.
The gite sleeps 4 guests and opens on to its own private patio with garden table and chairs plus BBQ and with views across the hamlet.
As the former bar of the property it's charm and character has been maintained. Exposed stone walls and chunky beams with a huge fireplace and log burner.
Accommodation is spread across ground floor level and includes a double and twin bedroom, newly fitted kitchen, lounge, dining room and bathroom with shower and toilet.
All mod-cons complete the gite including free wifi, satellite TV and DVD player.
It's a two-minute walk to the main garden and pool.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
Parking available.
Check-in is from 4pm with checkout at 10am.
So what's left to think about apart from who's in charge of the packing!
