From the owner

This first floor (US 2nd floor)refurbished apartment in a central 17th century building welcomes you with an incredible view of the Herault river, with easy access to the beach (Med.), which is about 2 miles away with a good road, cycle/walking path and bus service. A walk away to restaurants, shops and markets from this centrally located building, which is down the street from the tourist office and under ten minutes from the railway station.

When we were looking to buy a home in the Languedoc, we decided to stay in Agde, because it was central to the whole province, on the TGV train line from Paris and a few minutes from the A9 motorway through Bessan. We must have looked at over a hundred houses and flats from Carcassonne to Nimes, in the mountains and on the coast, and could not find a better location than the one we were staying in. We were very lucky to find an apartment that we fell in love with, which allows us to go to lunch on the beach, in town or at any of the number historic towns surrounding us.

The Mediterranean with its miles of sandy beaches, the largest naturalist center in Europe, the roundlock entrance to the Canal du Midi,(a world heritage site), the 1000 year old fortified cathedral, the 'Etang de Thau' lagoon with its delicious seafood, and the return of the fishing fleet to the Grau d'Agde are some of the pleasures that await you.

In addition to these interesting sites there are many activities to see and take part in from golf, tennis, fishing, walking, cycling, water parks, museums, art shows,'son et lumiere', river boats, ocean trips, etc. throughout the summer season and beyond.

You reach the apartment up a flight of ancient stone steps and unlike many other places in Agde, you are there! (No more climbing required). You enter along a balcony into the hallway leading directly into the kitchen/dining/sitting area with an astonishing view of the river. This has a sofa bed (160cm) which is rarely used. As you enter the master bedroom with a lovely view you will enjoy a queen bed (160cm) with an ensuite shower and toilet. The second bedroom has another queen bed (160cm), and the third (TV)room has a sofa and Bunk bed. These last two share a bathroom with a separate toilet.

How do damage deposits work?
