“The Jewel in the Crown” Dalyan is a fabulous resort with plenty to explore and restaurants aplenty. Everyone you meet, locals or visitors, are friendly. Just being in Dalyan makes you feel happy. We stayed in the Dalyan Jewel and now know why it was so named. The villa is set in its own well tended, established garden with a large pool. Everything inside the villa is of a very high standard from the en suite bedrooms, to the well appointed kitchen. What a place to enjoy the wonderful weather and magic of Dalyan. A real Jewel in the crown.

“Lovely apartment in a great location, would definitely recommend!” Myself and my family stayed in Sunshine Apartments for 2 weeks in August this year and absolutely loved it! If you are considering booking this apartment for your next holiday - do it!! The apartment was clean, spacious and furnished beautifully. There were several balconies and the main balcony overlooking the pool was lovely to sit out on to eat your lunch. The air conditioning throughout the apartment was great in the heat and all the extra facilities like the washing machine, flat screen TV, DVD player and iPod dock just really added to the apartment's appeal. We have rented several holiday apartments before and this was by far the nicest we have stayed in and had everything we needed for our stay. The only small issue we had was that there were a few power cuts in the complex while we were there, but they didn't last long at all and this is something that the complex manager assured us is going to be resolved soon, so it wouldn't be an issue in future. It certainly didn't spoil our holiday in any way and we would definitely return again to the same apartment. The pool area was lovely and clean, as was the rest of the complex, and we had 4 sunbeds for our use which was great. The turtle shaped pool was really nice looking and there was a decent sized children's pool if you have young children. Even when there were quite a lot of people around the pool it never got too busy. The pool could be used between 8.30am and 10pm and you were allowed lilos and beach balls which was great, as some apartment complexes we've stayed in before don't allow these. The residents who lived in the complex were all very friendly and helpful, which really added to our stay. Mike and Dawn (the apartment owners) were also very friendly and helpful both before and during our stay, answering any questions we had and giving lots of information about the apartment and the area. Booking the apartment was very straightforward, as was sorting payment and receiving the apartment key, making booking our holiday a pleasant experience. The area of Calis Beach where the apartment is located is really nice. There were 2 small supermarkets within a few minutes walk and the main strip of bars and restaurants was within a 10 minute walk. The main strip is located along the beach front which is lovely for sitting out in the evening and watching the sunset. There is such a wide variety of restaurants available that everyone is catered for, we ate out most nights and all of our meals were really lovely. We would particularly recommend the SAT restaurant where you can sit out on the jetty to eat, which has a beautiful view. The beach at Calis is a shingle beach so isn't quite as pretty as some sandy beaches. This didn't bother us though as we only went to the beach once, preferring to stay by the pool. If you do like sandy beaches though, the beach at Olu Deniz is absolutely beautiful and only about half an hours drive. Public transport in the area is really good for getting to places like Fethiye and Olu Deniz, and is very cheap too. There was plenty to do and visit in the area surrounding Calis Beach. We did several excursions which we booked from a company along the beach front at a really good price. Would really recommend the Olu Deniz boat trip and the Fethiye 12 islands boat trip. The Calis beach market is brilliant for souvenirs and for cheap fruit and vegetables and is literally at the top of the road from the apartment. We loved it so much we went twice during our stay! All in all, we had a brilliant holiday and would like to say a massive thank you to Dawn and Mike for letting us rent your lovely apartment! I would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking to stay in Calis beach - it's a great apartment, in a great location, at a great price too. We didn't want to come home and would definitely love to return!

“Fantastic villa, really well looked after and great location” Have just returned from 10 glorious days in Gold Orka 10 villa and am so sad to be home again. The villa is really great, lovely and spacious and really well equipped. Craig the owner was really great at answering questions when booking and provided lots of helpful information. Our group was made up of 4 adults and 2 young children and there was plenty of space in villa for all of us The pools are great, the addition of the children's splash pool being a real bonus to our group as we were travelling with children aged 2 and 3. The villa itself is lovely and airy inside, with plenty of bathrooms and everything you could need for young children, baby gates and even a baby bath! The location of the villa is great, so peaceful at night but the main street with all the bars and restaurants is only a 10 minute walk away and there are lots to choose from. All the restaurants were very accommodating of young children monkeying around too! Fethiye, the big harbour town and Olu Deniz for the beach are both very easy to reach using the Dolmus buses or taxis. The only slight annoyance for us was the service provided by the Orka hotel. They were pretty late with the transfers and a little pushy when it came to trying to sell us nights out at the hotel. Also, for those with a late check out, the courtesy room is actually just the use of the gym shower room. There are English neighbours next to the villa who were really nice and helpful. Overall, a fantastic stay at a lovely place. Am already wondering whether it's available again next year!
