“Very nice, well appointed apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay.” Everything was perfect with our stay. From the Airport pick up, check in and help with questions and minor issues, Shanel and Kylie could not have been nicer or more helpful if they tried.
The apartment was spotlessly clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, with all "mod cons". The towels and bed linen were changed after 7 days and the WI FI was fast and reliable so we could watch Netflix and UK TV on line when we wanted and check emails without any problems. Having said that, the cable TV system was good for news and has Maltese, Italian and a couple of UK and US channels. The shower was fine and the hot water plentiful. Wonderful big terrace with a table and chairs, (perfect for a sunny breakfast) with 2 sun-loungers and sunshine from about 9am for most of the day. The bus station is a 7-8 minute walk, Bugibba Square with lots of bars and cafes is a 5 minute walk. Perfect for morning coffee, lunch or evening drinks or dinner. Close to some nice restaurants as well. (La Sorpresa was our favourite, check it out!) There are small convenience stores close by for essentials or the "Trolees" supermarket is a 5 minute walk for a bigger choice and better prices.
All in all a really lovely place to stay. We will absolutely be returning as soon as possible.
“Amazing” Karen was helpful from the moment we enquired about the apartment to the moment we got home checking if everything was ok. She would reply straight away and answer any silly questions I had. The apartment was fantastic with modern furnishings and the best view ever! We would watch the sun go down every night. It is a central location with the beach/shops/restaurants within a 5 min walk. I would definately return!!
“Got engaged on the balcony!” The property is absolutely stunning. The pictures are exactly what you can expect. Yvonne welcomed us with directions over the phone, the keys & a tour of the property on arrival. She had also got us some wine, breakfast items & bottled water. There was a lift to take you to the top floor so don't worry about carrying suitcases up stairs. We took full advantage of the kitchen and cooked most evenings with the equipment provided. The neighborhood is quiet so you can expect a decent sleep. The property would be perfect for a family of 4 as the second bedroom had 2 single beds. It is located at the bottom of the hill leading up to Mellieha. Here, there are all the usual tourist shops, market places, bars & restaurants (be aware, this is a big hill). Along the seafront there are also a few excellent restaurants. I would definitely recommend a SMALL hire car (Europcar was fine). Carparking is directly at the front of the property & is free. There are plenty of activities locally but with a car you can get there (up many hills) with a lot more ease. The view at night was stunning with many stars visible on the balcony where my significant other felt it was beautiful enough to ask me to marry him. This is easily the nicest property we have stayed in abroad. It was a pure delight.
“Great apartment worry free arrangements” I travelled with my partner and daughter to stay in the apartment in August, and we were pleasantly surprised by the standard of accommodation, the lovely views over the valley and the helpfulness of Andy and Claire. The apartment is a light and airy well equipped base for a great holiday. It is on the top of a fairly steep hill (hence the great views), and we used local transport and taxis to get about - but if you don't like a steep climb, Andy had a lot of advice about good car hire places. We spend many a happy morning lounging around the apartment and having breakfast and early morning sunshine on the terraces. XemXija is a nice little town with some nice restaurants (Porto del Sol was good, and the people at the Munchy Moose were really friendly and helpful with more local tips!). I'd really recommend this apartment.
