“Relaxing romantic getaway ...” We were looking for a romantic getaway where we could escape city life. This is just what we were looking for. We spent many days just relaxing by the wonderful pool. We spend nights grilling on our terrace and looking at the stars. This was a perfect vacation for us because we were able to spend some days relaxing at the Cortijo Nuevo and also spent time traveling around the area of Granada, Sierra Nevada, Malaga and other small towns in the area. Patrick was very kind and helpful and I would recommend this place to friends and family.

“Been back home for 2 weeks and I ache to go back. . .” Our 2nd holiday at Patricks and it won't be our last. For us it is like a home from home but with beautiful sunshine and an outdoor kitchen and music besides the pool. Really missing Dino and Hector, bbq's by the pool, the roofs terrace, gorgeous garden and it's delicious sent of an evening, views across the mountains, the shaded garden hammock, the fountains . . . Anyway, Patrick has two lovely resident dogs, Dino and Hector. If you like dogs, you will enjoy their company. If you are a keen gardener, you'll be in awe of Patricks tropical oasis. You do need a car if you stay here, but that's fine because it gives you the freedom to roam and explore and your leisure. Motril (10 minute car drive) is clean and a real Spanish town. If you are looking for something a bit more touristy, then pop to Nerja for the day, it's about 40 minutes away. We tended to drive to Salobrena if we wanted a day at the beach and to eat out. Patrick is a very discreet host, he doesn't intrude yet manages to be around if you need to ask him something. The facilities are good. Kitchen has every utensil and all the white goods you need and there is plenty of linen and towels available. Thank you Patrick :)

“Superb Cave in a Great Location” Lovely cave house in a stunning location. The property was clean and well appointed. Our host met us on arrival after very clear directions to the house. The village is just a short walk away with friendly bars serving free tapas with a beer and a small supermarket covering most of our needs. Although very rural there is plenty to see and do. From Gorge walking in Castril to horse riding in the Sierra de Baza. Bobs knowlege of the area and help will leave the most novice of travellers at ease. Hoping to return in the future.

“Perfect for family and friends” The Finca is situated in the middle of the beautiful Andalucian countryside without any immediate neighbours, offering great privacy. It is remote and idyllic, accessed by a narrow country road that climbs the hill overlooking the local town and takes you through farms and olive groves and despite its rustic nature, was easily navigated by our very basic hired people carrier! We holidayed in the Finca with another family and the owner couldn’t have been more helpful in preparing for a great stay. We bombarded Mike before our departure with endless requests about cots, high chairs etc. and no request was too much for him. The attentive service before departure was matched by a very Warm welcome on arrival- a fridge with the essentials and the vast house set out as requested. The property itself was beautifully situated with ample space for the 12 of us (with plenty of space for more) with seemingly endless numbers of bedrooms to choose from. There is a beautiful open courtyard where we could all have dinner al fresco and upon request Mike had arranged for local chefs to come in and cook for us for a couple of the nights. The food and the setting were wonderful. The courtyard doubled up as a playground for the 5 children (and adults) who could entertain themselves for hours. There were huge numbers of distractions- a pool table, table tennis table, table football, Wi-Fi and of course the enormous swimming pool to keep us all entertained. The pool was the largest pool we had seen for such a holiday and had a wonderful almost 270 degree view of the beautiful tree covered hills surrounding the house. In short, we spent a wonderful week at the Finca all aided by great hosts who made the stay special and go without a hitch. We would thoroughly recommend this as a holiday destination- whether your family are young or old. I hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we did.
