Finistere cottages: Stay in luxury Finistere cottages with Holidaylettings.co.uk
“A comfortable family cottage in a lovely village, close to beautiful sandy beaches” We booked this cottage quite late through the Owner's Direct website. We liked the location and facilities. The owners were extremely helpful in assisting us with the booking and provided useful details on the area. The directions provided were good and even though we arrived very late on the first night due to the ferry times we had no problem accessing the cottage.
The cottage itself was clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of hot water available. The facilities provided for children were very good. We travelled with a 5 month old baby and a cot, baby bath, playmat and chair were all available. For older babies and children there was a highchair and stair gates as well as toys and DVDs provided. The only downside was the small outside area, but then by the end of the day we just wanted to collapse on the sofa.
The village itself was very friendly and a bakery very near to the cottage served delicious fresh croissants and baguettes. There is also a small shop selling essentials and a pharmacy nearby. Dineault is ideally situated for exploring Brittany and is within easy reach of Roscoff. There are lovely sandy beaches with shallow water ideal for young children nearby. Our favourites were Morgat, Telgruc and St Nic Pentrez. We also enjoyed days out in Quimper, Locronan, the Oceanopolis in Brest and Douarnenez. There are beautiful views from the nearby Menez Hom and Cap de Chevre, and the boat trip from Morgat to see the caves was very enjoyable.
“Very comfortable and spacious cottage, ideal for beach holiday” The cottage was very comfortable and ideal for getting to the beach. Village centre walkable and large variety of shops and eateries. Great location for exploring the area, loved the cap de raz. We travelled via Cherbourg which was probably the wrong port as drive was around 6 hours, would recommend a closer port such as St Malo. Thanks to Colleen for arrival pack, very much appreciated as we had a late arrival.
“Excellent” We had a restful break in the Chantilly apartment. The accomodation was very tasteful and exceptionally clean. We had everything we needed and the welcome pack is a nice touch, enough provisions to start the holiday. It was lovely to be somewhere without traffic noise and just listen to the birds singing in the morning. Sam and alan are lovely hosts, on hand if needed but are happy to let their guests relax. The apartment is situated central to lots of sightseeing options which are within 30 mins to an hour's drive. We really hope to return again, and would recommend it.
“modern accomodation in an historic landscape” We can only endorse what others have said. The accomodation is spacious, modern, with just what you need and no clutter! The kitchen area is a joy to cook in. You can eat on the sunlight terrace and enjoy an unspoilt view of green countryside. The welcome pack gets you started on your first night, until you have had a chance to find the two excellent local bakers in the nearby town. The owners will do all they can to make your visit as fruitful as possible, but without intruding.
the location is ideally chosen to allow you explore the Western tip of Finistere; the Nante Brest Canal; excellent coastal and mountain walks (from the book suppled); and coastal and inland towns and villages. Oh...and you will sleep like a log in the king size bed.
“Cute Cottage” The cottage is very cute. It is located right off a main road which concerned me at first but it ended up not being a problem. Things were very quiet. The owners were very responsive when we had some things that we needed. We had a nice stay.
