“2 weeks of utter relaxation” We stayed for two weeks at Chez Maison Bleue, 6 nights in the bed & breakfast and 8 nights in the gite. We took our 3 year old son and 3 month old daughter. The house and gite have been renovated in a very pleasing way and you are made to feel at home the moment you walk through the front door. Nothing was too much trouble and Carolyn had thought of everything for the kids. It was great to be able to sample Nicks cooking whenever we were too exhausted to cook (which was often). Every meal was superb and Nicks knowledge of the local cuisine was extensive as was the extent of the local produce. The advice given to us on what to see and do by Carolyn and Nick was spot on. The village itself is small and picturesque. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place. There is not a great deal to do in the village other than taking in the scenery and wildlife. There are also plenty nice walks and cycles. Within a short drive however there is plenty to do for families with young kids and we did something different most days. I would heartily recommend this holiday to anybody who likes beautiful scenery, diverse culture and fantastic cuisine.
