“Perfect base to explore Valletta and Malta” I was staying at Valletta Appartments 19 for a week with my wife and my children (aged 7 and 5). Patrick, the very friendly owner of the appartment, picked us up at the airport and drove us to the appartment in Valletta. The appartment is located very centrally. All of Valletta's sights are within a few minutes by foot, as are the ferry boats to Sliema and Birgu and also the central bus terminal - very handy when travelling all over Malta. The appartment's neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, especially at night. There is a small bakery adjacent to the appartment where we sampled fresh "ftira" (Maltese bread) and delicious little Maltese pea pies. The appartment itself is very clean, especially the bathroom is spotless. The washing machine in the bathroom together with the clothesline in the Maltese balcony was also a great asset. The free WiFi served us really well. Oh, I forgot: On the roof you have a quite good view over the Grand Harbour. There are some comfy chairs also - it's just great to sit there in the evening watching the sun set and the city's lights getting switched on.
We would definitely recommend the appartment to anyone planning to visit Malta.
Thank you so much Patrick, we had a really great stay at your place!
“Yet another perfect stay - a unique apartment in a stunning setting” Yet another perfect stay at this superb Valletta apartment - having stayed here before, we didn't hesitate to book it again, and loved it both times!
The apartment is ideally situated in Malta's charming capital city, just a few minutes' walk from the shops, must-see tourist attractions (such as St John's Cathedral and Manoel Theatre) as well as a number of great restaurants, cafes and wine bars. The apartment is also conveniently close to the ferry service to Sliema and the main bus terminal, so not having rented a car was not an issue for us at all.
The panoramic view is unparalleled, overlooking Manoel Island and Marsamxett harbour - sipping a glass of wine by the balcony made us feel truly relaxed, as if we were floating over the sea!
We ventured out most evenings - Peter, the owner, was very helpful and pointed us in the direction of the best places to eat and drink (Rubino and Trabuxu were our favourites) - however as we often stay in self-catering accommodation we were also delighted that the apartment itself was very well equipped for a holiday let and we found everything we needed. We were also pleased to find that it has a private entrance.
It was also spotlessly clean, not to mention seriously stylish (the walk-in rain shower deserves a mention)!
Altogether a wonderful stay - totally recommended - and we hope to be back soon! Thanks Peter!
“A great stay in Malta!” We were made to feel very welcome by Patrick and his family and appreciate the thought that has been put into the amenities within the apartment. We found Patrick's knowledge of Malta very useful in answering any questions we had. We are sure that future visitors will enjoy their stay in this beautiful city and location of Valletta as much as we have.
“Amazing location, better for small groups” The apartment was lovely inside and out, with great views, and the location could not have been better. It was very well maintained, and the owners very helpful (particularly when a leak was discovered, fixing it asap with minimal disruption). The only negative was that the second bedroom is a bit dark with little natural light. This was fine for our group, my parents having the main room upstairs, and my 6 yr old and I sharing the second room, but depending on your group, the difference between the 2 rooms could cause upset!? We however had a wonderful long weekend, loved Malta, particularly Valletta and Mdina.
The apartment is spacious, airy and light with excellent views across the Grand Harbour being high up. Very comfortable big sized bed. Valletta is a good place to base a holiday with many places of interest to visit. A large variety of eating places, good transport links to the rest of Malta for sight seeing, all within 5-10 minutes walk. An atmospheric place to be with periodic sounds of Church bells and different noises of the shipping. There was always something interesting to watch from the balcony! …
Valletta Old Mint No1.
Fantastic apartment so comfortable.
My husband and I have been to Malta several times normally in a hotel,so this was something totally different. The apartment itself was better than pictures there was everything that you could want or need at hand.we actually were very close to a restaurant we always go to Guse which I could recommend.excellant food never fails.the only down side was the steep walk because of hills personally I don't do hills but hard to avoid in Valletta.but that can't be helped still had a wonderful holiday thank you. House of character in Valletta
Big apartment at the centre of historical Valletta
Short walking distance to shopping and restaurant area and museums. Many good dining places only 3 min walking distance, close to Valletta to Sliema ferry. The apartment is a good alternative to hotel accomodation also for bigger groups. We were eight. Parking maybe challenging in day time, but because of the central location, car is not essential. Owner is very nice and helpfull. …
Valletta Art pentHouse with seaviews
Lovely apartment,'on the right side of Valletta. Minutes from the squares, shops and lots of restaurants and bars.
Very good air conditioning, but also lovely breeze upstairs in the evenings and mornings.
The ensuite bedroom a little dark, and you need to be careful on the internal steps to the kitchen/lounge area.
Very easy check in/out and the owner responded to all queries promptly.
Would definitely recommend! …

Malta Most Central Accommodation, The Optimal Holiday Base
Lovely little piece of history
Full of original features this is a delightful house in a quiet area. Once you get used to the unusual layout and the stone steps it is very comfortable. If you're very tall you might need to take a bit of care. My only small gripe is the kitchen could do with a few more utensils and cooking pots/pans. Good baker and grocers just round the corner. …
