“Perfect Panama Experience” For our family spending Christmas together in Panama Casa de K was an absolutely delightful place to relax and explore - clean, quiet, comfortable, while still feeling like we on a jungle adventure. While drinking coffee we watched gorgeous tropical birds from the upstairs veranda, identifying dozens of new species with the help of the Birds of Panama book which the owner provided. We strolled the beach right in front of Casa de K, collecting shells, watching the surf break and spotting monkeys swinging by in the trees. We cooked meals and tried local produce at least once a day in the very nice kitchen. Twice we walked into town, and several other times we took a taxi, and Bocas Town is delightful; good restaurants, quaint shops and small enough to explore on foot. One Bocas experience which I would highly recommend is chartering a boat for a tour around the island. Our family spent a delightful day with a Bocas native in his boat; including a chance to wade and see starfish on an isolated beach, a stop at a remote beachfront cantina for lunch and drinks, and a trip out to some dramatic rocky islands. Our family was all smiles after a week at Casa de K.

“Wonderful experience in Panama” What a wonderful experience. The apartment is spacious and accommodated the 6 of us very well. The location is excellent and the beach simply amazing. The back sand sparkles like diamonds. I can honestly say that I have never spent so much time in the water as we did on this beach. The whole gang of us was in the water from 3-4 hours uninterrupted. The ocean is warm and except for the rip tides on 2 days it was most inviting and offering no reasons to get out. We also travelled to the Caribbean side to La Isla Grande but the beaches we saw do not even compare to Gorgona. It is usually very empty and at max has 8 people on it on weekends. Unbeatable. Technically our visit was during the rainy season/low but the rain was a complete no show. When it did briefly rain it only lasted minutes. Panamanian roads are not well sign posted, we made it to our destination by following an off line GPS map. The entry to Nueva Gorgona is easily missed however after a day or 2 we knew all the roads and found our way very easily. A big thank to Carlo for his assistance and local knowledge and the Guanabana!

“Amazing Rainforest Getaway” We were looking for an adventurous but luxurious rainforest getaway; we got that and more. From the moment we started down the river with Ruben at helm to the moment we disembarked back in Sierpe 5 days later we were enchanted by our experience at Casa Rio Sierpe and very sorry to leave. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we decided to dive right in by getting as far into the forest on the Osa Peninsula as possible. We chose CRS principally due to the deep down-the-river location and the dedicated guide and boat provided by the property. Mark provided a ton of pre-travel information and was always there with an almost immediate response to our queries as we completed our planning. Even so we looked at each other a few times before the trip with that ‘What are we thinking’ look of trepidation. We need not have been concerned. Getting to Sierpe from San Jose is easy if you decide to drive yourself. It takes two half-days to get there if you at arrive in San Jose at midday. The house itself is perfect for its location. You feel complete privacy. The interior is as advertised. Great kitchen with all you could need. No issues with electricity or water supply. Filtered water! The walk up the hill can seem daunting, especially after a long day, but once at the house and on the deck you will realize the benefit. We spent every morning/evening sitting rapt watching and listening to the rainforest transition from night to day and then back. We were blown away by the sounds, especially during the time from 4am to 7am; I only have room to say ‘ pre-dawn roar of Howler Monkeys .’ Wildlife. When you go that far to observe as much as possible, you might stand on the deck when you first arrive and think; what if we don’t see anything? Don’t worry. The first day we saw a pair of Toucans, a pair of white-necked puffbirds, and many hummingbirds. The next day on the hike to the cascada we looked to our left and were staring at a river otter 5 meters away; no lie. Monkeys, Koatimundi, macaws, various parrot and parakeet flocks, and many, many more. But the most amazing part of the experience was interacting with Ruben, Adriana, and Juliana. We were a little nervous about not being competent in Spanish but we had no problem communicating. We learned a lot and had great fun with Ruben as a guide. He is a very genuine person and clearly loves the forest. In that short time we came to think of them as friends, amigos. It's very special; go!

“A week of peace and relaxation” After being delayed in Calgary alberta for two days it was absolutely nice to arrive at Coronado Bay condo. Georgina was so helpful with everything from getting directions to the Condo, booking a tour guide for us to tour the Panama Canal and the old city. Listing all the nice restaurants in the area and returning our e mails to questions we had. The condo had everything we needed for our week stay. The beach and the poolside was not busy. It was so peaceful to walk on the beach every morning. We were so sad that our week ended so quickly/.We will definitely come back in 2 to 3 years.
