Properties on Holiday Lettings can be sorted/ranked in the following ways:
Orders properties using various data points, in particular: ratings, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, minimum number of nights, and data relating to the interest in/bookings of the property through us, including the advertiser’s rate of providing quotes to travellers who make enquiries. Other factors include price, property capacity, number of photographs, location, amenities, appearance in search results, page views, and the advertiser’s responsiveness and cancellation rate.
Price low to high / high to low
Orders properties based on either (i) the property’s minimum nightly price, if the traveller has searched without dates, or (ii) the average nightly price for the applicable week of the year, if the traveller has input dates.
Orders properties by total number of reviews attached to the listing (highest to lowest), irrespective of average score. Where there is a listing with the same number of reviews as another (or a listing with no reviews), properties are sorted according to their proximity to the searched location.
“Dream Escape” The place slips firmly into our 'perfect escape' category. It was shockingly easy to get to from the UK by ferry. And on arrival, I felt myself slipping into the halcyon days of a childhood adventure. The Vielle Maison is a place I frequently escape to in my mind, with precious memories to relive on busy days. The house, with its unspoilt views to the sea is beautifully laid out, with the sort of style and detail that makes you want to take photos of all its corners. The design is rustic farmhouse meets tasteful modernity, and the house is spacious enough to give larger groups privacy. The beach, a short walk away, was a big highlight for us with rock pools for the kids to explore by day and, when it was adults-only, perfect for a bracing dip before racing back to the house for aperitifs, laughing and feeling ten years younger. The house has a welcoming atmosphere, and it was easy to while away evenings sipping wine and chatting in front of the giant log fire.
At the same time, local towns with their maritime charm were enticingly close and encouraged exploration. The regional food was amazing, and we enjoyed exploring the local delicacies: fresh mussels, cider, cheeses. My husband enjoyed a vigorous jog along the spectacular cliff paths. We definitely plan to go back.
