“Luxury in the dordogne” We stayed at Acabanes in Janary this year. It was cold in the Dordogne during this month but luckily the sunshine came out during the day so we were able to explore the area. We spent most of our time cycling around the quiet lanes as well as visiting all the nearby old towns. The house is really is a fantastic location for this and what we loved the most was that you hardly saw any cars. The house lists everything on their website but I did not expect it to actually be so well equipped. I had more equipment at Acabanes than I do in my own house! The fires were also used a lot in the evenings and it made the house very cosy. We also loved playing pool and every evening had a mini-competition. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and all individual. What was the nicest was the ipod docking stations and the tea and coffee facilities. These are small things but are very special touches. In terms of restaurants, we would really recommend Tour des Vents near Bergerac. It is on top of the hill overlooking Bergerac and has fantastic views. If you want to go on a Saturday though you will need to phone inadvance, as we couldnt get a booking the first time we tried. I would really recommend this house, it is luxurious and everything we could have asked for in a holiday. We are hoping to try to return June 2013 and see some more of the area.

“Couldn't have chosen a better place.” Le Peyrat is a lovely gite! Pool and gardens exellent. It's the ideal place to book if you have children. Very child friendly. We are a 3 generation family and spent a lovely 10 days there. Bryan & Tracy are the perfect hosts.They made us very welcome and were very helpful. Even driving us to the train station when we had friends come to stay. We will most certainly be paying Le peyrat another visit to see Tracy &Bryan again. (Lovely people). The Jones family. “Perfect for our family Golden Wedding celebration” Our entire family (21, aged from 3 to 75) were agreed that our week at this house was an incredible success and that they had enjoyed every minute.We thought the house was perfect for our gathering, with everything we needed to make our time together a happy and enjoyable experience. We are so glad we chose it, and would gladly return if any opportunity arose. We would also recommend it to any other family group. The information given is accurate, with no exageration of the facilities or equipment. The property was clean and well maintained, and the owners charming and helpful. There are plentiful toys, bikes, games equipment and entertainment electronics. The pool alarm system is effective and gives peace of mind even if there are young children in the party. The kitchen equipment and clothes washing facilities are ample for large groups. Bedrooms and bathrooms easily divide up for multiple families. The major Leclerc supermarket is only 10 minutes drive away (but is not open on Sunday morning, though a slightly smaller, more local, one is). Bergerac wines are excellent, and there is plenty to visit and see locally, though we were so well occupied on site that we did not go out a lot. Truly, a holiday to remember!

“Perfect in Every Way” Chris and Jacky are warm and hospitable, we could definitely see ourselves being friends with them! Their property is beautiful, lovingly maintained and the gite we stayed in was in excellent condition. The home was amazingly child friendly containing everything from a crib and high chair to toys, books and dvd's. All of our daily excursions came off of the list that Chris & Jacky provided which was great as we did not have to do much legwork! We would without a hesitation recommend either the Manor or Gite at Rigal to any friend, family or stranger. The surrounding ares are beautiful and filled with great castles and gardens. We would most certainly return to Rigal for another visit.

“Lovely family holiday” We had a great time staying here in July. The house has large cool rooms, comfortable beds , lovely bathrooms and is well equipped. The pretty village has an interesting history (ask in the local church) and is only i0 mins drive away from Bergerac where we enjoyed the winetasting in the wine museum on the banks of the Dordogne and the popular icecream shop in the centre of the old town. Lots of interesting shops there to explore but the grandchildren couldn't wait to get back to the pool so they could have a water fight while the adults relaxed and got the barbeque going. Everyone had a lovely holiday and we've already booked for this July.

“Great find for a family” We had a great weeks holiday, with a 3 and 4 year old and grandparents. The house had all the facilities we needed, all top of the range. The pool was well gated for young children and lots for them to see and do in the grounds of the house (chicken feeding etc) too. The owners were great at recommending things to do in the local area. Would visit again and highly recommend.

“Very well equipped family accommodation with heated Pool in an attractive location in Rural western Dordogne.” Service From booking through to the actual holiday stay - and after - Tracey Jones was most attentive and diligent. Clearly well experienced with a great personal touch. Accommodation Very well equipped family house. A well restored farmhouse with lovely bedrooms and bath/shower rooms. Three out of the four bedrooms are Air Conditioned. Location Situated in the western Dordogne in an attractive rural situation overlooking a couple of the fairways of Chateau Vigiers Golf Course, below. There are a number of attractive villages in the area - some of which have markets on given days ,or nights, of the week. A large well stocked Le Clerc Supermarket is situated approx 15 mins drive away.
