“Enjoy the beauty of nature and peace” In my opinion, If you wish to enjoy the beauty of nature and peace in a comfortable manner, then Himardri Guest house Shitlakhet is one of the best places in Almora district of Uttarakhand. I went to the place with my family. When we started our journey we did not expect the facitilities at Shitlakhet, a remote place. The guest house was quite comfortable with additional facilitiy of equipped kitchen particularly quite useful for a family. There is an amazing view of nature from the terrace. One can really enjoy the nature from the terrace. We also visited Shyahi Devi Mandir (situated at a good height from Shitlakhet) in the next morning after going through the forest, it was also a nice experience. Staff at the guest house also helped us in making the trip enjoyable. We really enjoyed a lot.

“Excellent Stay at Devrai Farm” During a recent family outing to Kashid, we happened to come across a little gem of a place known as the Devrai Farm.Located 9 kms from the beach,the place is very good value for money.The property is essentially a small farm which has been let out by the owners.A caretaker with his family is available on the premises to service the needs of the guest.The bungalow in itself is large and spacious.It comes with a living room,two bedrooms,a separate dining area and a big kitchen.There is also this cozy place on mezzanine floor complete with mattresses and plug points,the kind of place which makes me want to turn into a fifteen year old with a couple of friends to watch movies on the laptop and snack on munchies. The bungalow also has a big-ish porch,furnished with some innovative tyre chairs. Each of the bedrooms has an attached western washroom.Running hot water is available but advance notice to the caretaker is required.The kitchen is well equipped with basic kitchenware (spoons/cups/plates/knives) and also has a double burner stove.The living room has a TV equipped with a Tata Sky connection.The entire property (including the washrooms) is immaculately clean.For the car,there is a covered parking space,which also doubles up as a machaan to give you some nice views.There was also a garden of sorts with marigolds and bananas and aubergines, quite an eclectic collection, but very neatly kept.Food can be arranged by the caretaker if you inform him well in advance,else one can place an order at the nearby hotels.In our case we told him what we wanted for dinner, and he arranged for the same from the hotel.In my interactions with the owners via email/phone, I found them to be warm and genuinely concerned about ensuring my well being.During my stay I also received a call from them, to check if everything was as per satisfaction. Small touches like that made our stay even more enjoyable.Overall we had a great stay and would definitely look to come back some day.

“amazing homestay at the jungle house” Very nice family. Big and clean room. Delicious balinesian food and an amazing view over the palms, hills and the sea. The owner of the house is very friendly and is speaking english very well. We also did beautiful tours with him to many different places in bali. There is a very nice waterfall (les waterfall) next to the house where you can walk up and take a refreshment. Go there, you will love it!!!

“Great hospitality” Bura akay is a wonderful family owned guesthouse with separate cottages for each family. Delicious breakfasts are served everyday including the amazing Philippine mangoes! Bura akay is only a 10-15 minute walk from Diniwid beach. We really appreciated spending time with a Philippine family to understand more about their culture and customs. High recommended for families with small children as they offer an early morning babysitting service.
