The Moon Room (Downtown Kyoto)
Great apartment, in a lovely part of Kyoto.
We really enjoyed the weekend we spent at the Moon Room. The apartment which was on the ground floor, was warm, with very comfortable beds, a small kitchen (idea for making tea and toast) and a great shower.
The apartment is in a lovely part of Kyoto, very close to the subway in a quiet street with plenty of good restaurants to chose from, which Sean the owner had listed in a well prepared travel folder. If we ever return to Japan, staying at the Moon Room would be top of our list - but next time we will stay for a week. There is so much to see and do in Kyoto.
Sean the owner was delightful and could not have been more accommodating. As he had no guests arriving on the day we were departing Sean told us we were under no pressure to check out at the agreed time. This gave us another morning of sightseeing in Kyoto before moving on to Tokyo in the afternoon. Our stay was a great experience. Thank you. …
Kyoto Vacation House
Great holiday accommodation in Kyoto
This holiday house in Kyoto was large and comfortable. it had a well-kitted kitchen, separate bedroom and large garden. The location was in a lovely residential neighborhood to the north of Kyoto. The nearest metro station was a 10-15 minute walk away and could easily get you into central Kyoto. There was also an accessible bus route nearby to the house, We used the house as a base to explore nearby areas such as the Kurama mountain area by metro, as well as further afield to cities such as Nara and Hiroshima by train from Kyoto station.
Kenta himself was an absolutely lovely host, who went that extra mile to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Communication before and during our stay in Kyoto was exceptional; he offered a lot of advice on how to reach the house from Kansai airport and stayed up to check us in, despite our after-midnight arrival time. Kenta lives in a separate apartment above the house and is therefore nearby to help with recommendations etc. If caught at the right time, he would also happily give us a lift by car to the nearest metro station. We really appreciate the help he gave us - thank you Kenta.
Overall, we had an amazing 7-day stay in Kyoto, and would highly recommend this accommodation to other visitors. …
Mt Fuji views 2BR 5-pax ~ mySuites Tokyo Kamata (#1205)
Great little appartment
We stopped just 2 nights in Tokyo and this little apartment was fantastic.
Very close to Kamatar train station and was not too difficult to find if you use the guide provided with pictures. You will probably need it.
Bathroom was great, the queen been was good for the couples and the 2 single beds was good for our sleeping arrangement, but might be a problem with 2 couples. WiFi was really handy.
Washing machine was also very useful. Heating was great and the bathtub (once worked out how to use) was very relaxing after being in the cold.
Only downside was not being able to drop of our bags (someone was checking out that morning), which was not a huge problem as most local restaurant/bars did not mind us bringing in our luggage. We might have also chosen a slightly later flight rather than arriving at 6am in Tokyo.
Great place, Highly recommend. …
