Penates of the Frog
lovely place by the Canal du Midi

My wife and I stayed here while cycling the Canal du Midi. We booked an evening 3 course meal and a one night stay with breakfast, all for excellent value. The owners, Jean and Catherine, joined us for dinner which was complimented by home grown produce and a very tasty wine from their vineyard. Our hosts gave generously of their time and knowledge about the area and beyond in fluent English (our French is not great). This quaint B&B right by the canal was an excellent stop on our journey. The village (across the bridge) is small yet very beautiful with its own chateau and a very nice pub tucked away in its back streets, which is well worth a visit. Merci Jean and Catherine.see more
