“Exactly what it says on the tin” We stayed for a week, in October 2012, with our 2 year old daughter, largely based on the reviews here. The reviews turned out to be spot on. We had a lovely time.
The apartment was spotless, modern and well appointed. The pools were clean and the whole place had a relaxing and welcoming feel about it.
Mandria itself is just a few minutes walk away. It was quite, child friendly, had a few choices of where to eat and the food was good. In fact the fish and chips were incredible!
I played a little bit of golf. Paphos is near by and there is plenty to do if you are willing to take the odd trip out. I would say a car is a necessity, unless you just wanted to unwind next to the pool.
All in all in it was exactly what we were looking for. Not at all for those looking for a lively holiday. Perfect for families and couples with a more sedate holiday in mind.
We would definitely go back next year and that is something I have never said about a holiday before!
Just returned from the Aphrodite sands complex in Mandria Paphos this was our second visit and really like this place all staff are very friendly and very helpful this is a lovely place thats very clean and fresh looking plenty of sunbeds but can see it being tight for space if fully booked thats one of the reasons we have gone while most kids are still in school improvements this year is a snack bar thats not expensive and food is very good it is very cosmopolitan with at least five diferent languages being spoken while we were there always seems quite a few russians that apart from being a bit noisy they do like to enjoy themselves the village is only five mins walk with a choice of eateries from fish n chip shop to a couple of cafe/bars selling all sorts of food also they both do great english breakfasts for about £4-50 also in village is a chinese/indian/japanese eaterie a little mini market selling all the normal bits n pieces as well as papers plus you can get free wi-fi in village which is great as it cost approx five euros a day per device in the complex would certainly recomend this place and we will be going again …
APT F109-3 BED APT, SUPER POOL VIEWS JUST 4 MINS WALK TO VILLAGE CENTER!
Very pleasant stay
We were very pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms in the apartment - big enough to live in permanently without feeling cramped. Plenty of towels were provided, and the washing machine meant that we didn't have to worry about having enough clothes to wear. It's a lovely, quiet resort with two pools, so good for families. About a mile down the road is a quiet beach - very shingly so not good if you're looking for golden sands. There's a small shop locally, and less than a mile away is an excellent supermarket which is open from 6am to 10pm. There are a number of places to eat in the village if you want to eat out rather than cook for yourselves. The only criticisms I have are quite trivial - in the apartment we stayed in the bread knife was quite flimsy, and struggled to cut through the crusty bread, the vegetable knives were completely blunt so we had to sharpen them (not hard to do), and there was no potato peeler. Some of the pans have seen better days, but we mainly ate out with family who live locally so it wasn't a problem for us. Parking can be a bit of an issue. You can buy access to the WiFi but my children wouldn't recommend it as one of them couldn't connect to it at all, and the other one had very intermittent connection. All in all though, a very good place to stay. …
Aphrodite Sands Apartment
High quality apartment, perfect holiday
We had a very good equipped, spacious, apartment with two bathrooms. The apartment quality was excellent, the materials used and the furniture were both high standard. We have stayed with young children, they loved the pool area, and we had nice meals together on the large balcony. We also used the gym and spa several times. Both were good equipped and clean, the staff were helpful.
Also to say something negative: the sauna was quite humid, but not very hot (around 65-70 °C).
I absolutely recommend this apartment. …
LUXURY APT E204 IN GREAT LOCATION WITH POOL& SEA VIEWS!
A lovely apartment on a pretty complex!
This was our 2nd stay at Aphrodite Sands - both times in October. From booking to the return of our deposit we received great service. The apartment was very spacious and clean. It is nicely furnished, spacious and well appointed with an extremely well equipped kitchen. The position on the complex is lovely with a pool view. We were also able to watch the sun set from the extremely large terrace.
The pool area is spotlessly clean.
We made the short walk into Mandria village most days for either supermarket supplies, to catch the bus to Paphos or to eat dinner at one of the friendly Tavernas.
This apartment and complex is perfect for our party of 4 adults and 2 children. We would love to return and would certainly recommend it to family and friends. …
Lovely Apartment in Mandria
Spacious and well equipment luxury apartment within a beautiful small complex with fab Spa
We have just returned from a very relaxing week at Aphrodite Sands. Apartment D103 was everything we were expecting and more. Very spacious inside and out - the large balcony overlooking the pool was fully utilised.
This was our 3rd visit to Aphrodite Sands and we just love the complex with its wonderful Spa on hand to provide some pampering. My son enjoyed the gym and I liked lounging by the pool. No need for an early start to book a sun bed as there were always some available.
On site wifi was useful and the choice of places to eat and drink in the village was great. Easy access to Paphos is a plus as was the short taxi run from the Airport. …
One Zero Four
We stayed for 8 days in late August/early September. The resort is lovely; really clean and well maintained. The staff were unobtrusive but very helpful when we had queries. Our apartment was centrally positioned overlooking the pool and the terrace enjoyed the sunshine throughout the day. The terrace was extremely spacious with a large table and chairs at one end, an informal seating area as well as 2 sunbeds. Inside the apartment was also spacious, with open plan kitchen/diner/living area off which there is a hallway leading to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The fixtures and fittings were high quality and the apartment was spotless when we arrived. Mandria village restaurants were less than 5 mins away and had great atmosphere, varied menus and fab cocktails! …
