The Golfview Florida Villa (sleeps up to 8 persons)

The Golfview Florida villa is a four bed three bath executive home situated on the Southern Dunes Golf and Country club estate. With south facing private pool and deck overlooking the course this is an ideal location for any time of the year. Whether it is a golfing getaway, family holiday or you just want to relax in the Florida sun, the Golfview is the perfect base for your Florida vacation.

Situated right in the heart of Florida you can get to either coast in about an hour, Disney in 20 minutes, Legoland in 15 minutes or shopping mall in about 10 minutes. Conveniently located shops and restaurants just outside the main gates The Golfview is situated alongside the 4th fairway of the Southern Dunes Golf course.

Accommodation

There are two queen bed master suites each with private bathrooms then another queen bed room and a twin room which share a further bathroom. Note, there is a full size pull out bed in the lounge. The living areas are open plan and extremely spacious with main lounge and dining area towards the front of the villa and breakfast area and family lounge toward the rear. In the heart of the villa is a well equipped kitchen. New granite countertop has now been added some additional photograths have been added to show the updated kitchen.

Laundry facilities are located separately. There is a full size table tennis table in the garage along with tennis rackets and a set of golf clubs. HD Cable TV is provided in the two master bedrooms and the family lounge which also has a DVD player and selection of films. A games consol and games with dedicated TV are located in the twin bedroom. There is a music centre in the main lounge with cable input for your MP3 player. All linen and towels are provided and there is a document safe to secure passports etc. The villa is fully air conditioned and is equipped with easy access high speed internet Wi-Fi available throughout the house. With 1940 sq ft of living space you will have plenty of room to spread out. We have also added free phone calls within the USA and Canada.

Pool heating is available at an additional fee of £100 per week.

Location

Southern Dunes is a well established safe gated community with 24hr security and very close to shops and restaurants. Recreational facilities include a clubhouse with bar and restaurant, tennis courts, play area for children, communal pools, library and gym.

Within walking distance there is a large Walmart store just outside the main gate and a full selection of fast food restaurants are just across the road along with further shops and stores. Also, within a two minute drive there is a further selection of restaurants. The area has also benefited from the recent multimillion dollar redevelopment of Lake Eva Park.

I’m sorry you didn’t have a pleasant stay, however I find the basis of your complaint without any real substance. You had mine and our management team personal contact details, both email and phone numbers included within the directions/joining instructions I sent 4 weeks prior to your arrival. Yet you never made use of those details. You listed 3 phone numbers that you say you attempted to ring none of which were known to me? However you managed to lodge a complaint on the last day of a 2 week stay! If you weren’t happy all you had to do was ring the number given and any concerns would have been addressed at that time! We supply spare sets of bedding for every bed. So if there was a ripped sheet there is always a replacement available. The queen bed mattresses are all under 3 years old and certainly not the cheapest. Yes the sofa is 5 years old so it looks a little tired, but it does not smell and is still comfortable to sit on! The pool is maintained on a weekly basis and a net is available to collect leaves if needed. Thank you for identifying the rusty shower hooks, these have now been replaced with new curtains and hooks. We will be replacing the scratched pans but there are other stainless steel pans in the kitchen cupboard so there was no need to use the scratched ones! Our management team walk through the villa before and after each guest, the carpet stains were not noted prior to your arrival but they were after you left. They have examined the pillows and the spare pillows but could not find any smell or undue wear? Also, although you claim not to have a dog a neighbour advised me that they saw a dog with a couple and a child leaving and entering the villa. We have a no pet policy and this would have been clear to you at the time of booking.

Why can't I call Ian (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Ian (the owner) a message.

If Ian (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
