Mata Air means spring water and hence there are many ponds and water features built into the landscape. If you should chance to stay, we wish you to leave refreshed, like spring water.

Villa Mata Air is a stunning, modern, 5 bedroom property nestled on the bend of the River Pangi at Pererenan-Canggu, 25 minutes north of Seminyak. It is also a 5 minute drive from the well known surfer's challenge, Echo Beach. Echo Beach also offers a selection of Seaside Cafes and Eateries for the less active!

This villa is fully fitted for a luxury break on a tropical island - it combines Balinese open style with Western contemporary living.

The single storey shingle-roofed property expands from the narrow entrance of the Angkul-Angkul (a traditional Balinese door) to the Central Bale, the lounging and dining pavilion, complemented by a fully equipped kitchen. Steps lead down to a flat lawn flanked by pavilions on either side; 2 twin luxury suites and 2 master luxury suites with kingsized beds. One master suite includes a fully equipped multi-media room and a secret garden set in the back for alone time… whilst the other includes a covered terrace with a massage table for a pampering time...

From the lawn, the view falls away from the infinity pool to the flowing river and thence to the rice fields and blue skies beyond. There is ample decking as well as a must-have traditional bale, for that essential lazy afternoon lounging between the pool and the river.

The loveliest surprise of Mata Air is a further pavilion hidden from sight along the curve of the Pangi River - a large comfortable Studio fitted out with sofas which convert to twin or double beds, a dining table & chairs, TV, kitchenette and a large deck overlooking the River and the Rice Fields beyond. A private getaway within the Villa grounds!

The natural flora on the grounds have been kept and maintained as much as possible hence giving way to unsuspecting shade and mini gardens around the property.

It is only through feedback like yours that we are able to maintain and indeed, where necessary, improve some of the elements of our valued properties. I am very happy to hear the service provided by our villa team was professional and up to your expectations. Villa Mata Air villa staff is without doubt a genuine solid group of people whose main priority is to serve their guests and ensure they have a memorable holiday. Unfortunately, there was a problem with one of the A/C external units which had to be changed soon after your arrival; we apologise for this inconvenience, however we trust the issue was attended to promptly. With regards to the swimming pool wooden deck and the stained cushions, we're currently taking steps to upgrade these facilities.  Regarding the bedroom Jacuzzi, the owner decided not to include this feature any longer due to continuous technical issues with the pump. I apologise for our oversight to remove the feature on the villa website page; we have now rectified this issue also.   We would like to thank you again for your valued feedback and do hope to welcome you back in the future.   Regards Management

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
