Villa xenia
Beautiful villa in a very convenient location

Villa Xenia is incredibly well equipped, with spacious bedrooms. With four en-suite bath/shower rooms on the upper floors and an additional shower room on the ground floor, there were no arguments as to who would shower next. With air conditioning units in all bedrooms and also in the living/dining/kitchen, being indoors is very comfortable, especially when sleeping. The pool is a lovely size and well maintained, with the chemical levels checked on a weekly basis and there are plenty of sun loungers with cushions and a lovely pergola with cushioned corner seating and a coffee table. I am 5'5" and was within my depth the entire length of the pool but care should be taken with younger children who may not be able to touch the bottom. There is also a large pine table with long bench seating for al fresco dining and a covered outdoor kitchen area with sink, gas barbecue and wine/bottle fridge. The villa is situated next to the local sporting arena, but there is very little noise from it and one of our party used the track for running practice several times during our stay. Best of all, it's free to use, as are the nearby outdoor basketball practice hoops and the outdoor gym equipment. It's a very short walk to quite a large supermarket and a number of really lovely restaurants and souvenir shops. The ancient fortress is well worth a visit and although it's only small, it only costs 5 lev per person to get in, which is less than £2.50. … see more
Bright and spacious studio apartment in quiet, leafy area of Varna...
Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, well equipped and great location...

Considering this is a studio apartment, it is very spacious. There are two balconies and it's lovely and bright with big windows, with net curtains and supplemented with proper curtains. It's also in a very quiet area - very little traffic and minimal noise from other residents in the building. I t's on the first floor (second in Bulgaria). There is a lift , but it's only three short flights of shallow stairs up. It's situated just a few minutes walk from two bus routes, but because taxis are so cheap, we used them most of the time, which the owner showed us how to book online and amazingly, one appears outside your door in just 3 minutes! You can reach the centre of town in just ten minutes by taxi, or twenty by bus. There's a good selection of restaurants / bars nearby and a nice little café at the end of the road, so if you don't feel like going into the centre, vou can stay very local. There's also a small supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away, with an ATM. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner, who showed us everything necessary. There is a tray with teas, coffee and water, also a bowl of fruit and in the fridge was a bottle of wine and two beers - most welcome after a long journey and all free! There's also an espresso maker, in case you want to buy fresh coffee. The bed was very comfortable (king sized, quality memory foam mattress). The owners have put good thought into the furnishings... Comfortable chairs, spacious wardrobe. Nice little details, such as minimal reading lamps that don't take up space on the bedside tables, nice decorations and some pictures on the walls. There's plenty of sockets for chargers and laptops. The Internet had excellent signal. I checked the WiFi speed and it was showing 83Mbps on my phone. The TV had a lot of channels, around 160 and a few in English. The kitchen is really well equipped. We have stayed at other apartments with half of what this place has - really comprehensive, including a small oven and hob, toaster, kettle, pans, even a washing machine. Also lots of utensils and nice cutlery and crockery. The bathroom has a Gröhe shower, toilet and basin unit. It was spotlessly clean, as was the whole apartment. The shower was very good, with great water pressure. There is a window in the bathroom, as well as an extractor fan. What was nice is towels and toiletries were provided. We enjoyed our stay at this apartment and would certainly book again . It's good value and worth the price. Large 3 bedroom apartment 200 meters from beach
Affordable, situated very near cost and within 15 minutes of Varna

The penthouse was tastefully furnished with air-conditioning (very necessary in the summer) and a balcony with a good view of the surrounding area. The one problem we had with the flat is that it wasn't quite as described (had only 2 bathrooms, as one was an ensuite we shared one between 4 people) and it was on the top floor with no lift or escalators, just stairs. Apart from that the property was lovely with a sauna, jacuzzi and pool downstairs. The penthouse is perfect for a holiday with friends or a family, though there is a balcony so it may not be quite suitable for children. The stairs make it unsuitable for any mobility-impaired visitors. It was wonderfully situated very close to the coast, within a very easy walk. The beach is beautiful and there was an amazing seafood restaurant that we went to often. There is plenty of cafes and restaurants within an easy walk. On our very first night (we arrived at approx 1am) a couple of us spent most of the morning until 7am drinking at a 24/7 bar that was 5 minutes down the road. It is also within a short taxi ride to Varna, the nearest city. There is a sightseeing bus that goes round several tourist areas - we visited several places like a huge shopping centre in Varna and a water park. Prices are very reasonable in Bulgaria, and much cheaper than Sofia. For younger parties - alcohol is easy to get hold of and we almost never got ID'd. However, we were warned to be extremely careful with our passports, money and belongings. The owner was able to arrange for us to be transferred by taxi to and from the airport, and also able to recommend other taxi drivers for us to use. Large clean and comfortable villa with fresh peaches every morning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, enjoying fresh fruit from the garden, with friendly and knowledgable help from the neighbours. Varna is a fascinating town, and the provision of the car was essential to get there (and there is STILL free parking!). The local beach was very 'swimmable' although there was a lot of seaweed for a couple of days and the sand could do with clearing of cigarette butts from time to time. But the water is really IDEAL for swimming, and the restaurants are cheap and good. We also loved using the barbeque. We will probably want to go there again! … see more
Villa Balgarevo Luxury Villa with Pool
peaceful place

We stayed at the Villa Bulgarevo and I would recommend it to everyone. It is a beautiful peaceful place perfect for families with children who want to escape the crowds and noise of the large resorts. The house is large, with new furniture and the swimming pool was ideal. The style of the house is rural with many old features but finished to a high standard. Very nice inside with all rooms located on one floor, high ceilings, exposed beams and cool even during hot days. The location is perfect for people interested in eco-tourism, sightseeing, fishing, horse riding, golf, tennis, diving, water sports, etc. There are several sandy beaches to choose from as well. … see more
