This is a small development of 12 luxury apartments & is walled & gated with 24 hr security & secure parking. There are plenty of restaurants, bars & shops close to the complex & is within walking distance to the Golden Sands resort . It is about 15 mins from the centre of Varna by bus or taxi. There is a pick up & drop off service from the airport to the apartment provided.Fully furnished with Sattelite TV. Complex has gymnasium, sauna, steam room and poolside bar/ barbecue area. Local beach (Chieka) is only 200 metres.

The interior of the penthouse is finished to a very high standard with marble floors throughout. The windows are solar glass which keeps the apartment cool in the Summer & warm in the Winter.There is a lovely fully fitted modern kitchen & fully fitted bathrooms.There is air conditioning in every room.Most of the ground floor is set aside for the facilities that are shared among the clients ie: Jacuzzi, Turkish steam room, sauna & gym.
Further details outdoors:
The outside of the apartment complex is very secure & private to the clients. There Is a lovely outdoor pool area & shared BBQ area.The street is quiet at night with no nightclub or bar noise while at the same time there is plenty to entertain you very close by . This is also the ideal family friendly location.

The Black Sea Coast region


The Rivera Complex is situated along the Black Sea Coastline on the Golden Sands Riviera. We are situated close to the Golden Sands resort itself & are only 200 metres from the lovely sandy beach. Along the beach front are plenty of restaurants, bars & shops. This region of the Black sea is fast becoming more popular with British tourists because of the variety of activities and things to do at great value for money prices.
The black sea is non tidal and is normally at a pleasant temperature throughout the holiday season, which makes bathing a popular and safer activity. The average Summer temperature is 24C. Cool breezes flow in from the sea which makes balmy evenings drinking cocktails by the beach or on the balcony a delight
The Golden Sands area
Balchick located 20km away hosts beautiful botanical gardens & also a palace worth visiting. Cape Kaliakra is home to a beautiful nature reserve. Dolphinarium is close to Varna & has several shows running throughout the day that last 1 hr. Varna is about 15 mins in a bus or taxi & is worth a visit.
There are tennis courts opposite the complex where you can avail of very reasonable lessons. Golden Sands resort offers a large variety of bar's and restaurants. The resort has a range of restaurants, cafes, snack bars and local tavernas that serve a wide variety of 1st class cuisine as well as traditional Bulgarian dishes at very reasonable prices. Bulgarian wines and brandies appear on most menus.
Night life: A wide of beach bars, discos and nightclubs keep the action going until the early hours. A casino will satisfy the gambling spirit and there is a huge variety of entertainment and shows to be had.
Activities: The resort offers a huge variety of activities for children and adults, both in and out of the water. Available are both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, some mineral, including water slides; tennis and volleyball, bowling, minigolf, fitness centres, horseriding and cycling. A wide range of water sports including yachting, jet skis, water skiing and a scuba diving centre. For the more adrenaline seeking, hand gliding and parasailing is offered. A balneoology centre provides treatments and medical programmes for those avid for a bit of pampering or seeking healing.

First the Pros: * the owner was pretty flexible with payment (we used Paypal to pay from the States) * the place is clean and well maintained * the kitchen included pots and pans enough to allow us to cook, eat meals, etc. * the maintenance staff allowed us to park inside the property (although, only because I speak Bulgarian, I think) * the security staff was friendly and helpful * the place has AC that cools the place really fast * cute balcony for having drinks / coffee Now the Cons: * not at all in an area I would call tourist * no elevator/lift and the place is 8 flights of stairs * did not provide anough linens, etc. * once paid, the owners could bother to respond back to emails etc. and left us to deal with their Bulgarian maintenance guys * the description does not mention that one of the rooms is a bunk bed, which may work well for kids but not for adults. |
